I don’t know how many times I walked past this stream on my way to work at a ski and snowboard rental shop! Fitzsimmons Creek, Whistler, BC, Canada.
A peaceful scenery from Prince Edward Island, Canda.
Taken in Canada, just as the sun was sinking behind the trees and beneath the horizon.
This is my first long dialogue with a doe this spring. The ground is still frozen and some snow remains but she is ready to EAT, and yet she is in no hurry to turn away from the camera before I could get a decent shot of her beautiful figure. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
This is another shed along the same road that River and I could stay over night! :) :) :)
My friend Clark made this tree face that I thought was interesting.
This is my favorite doe, who posed for us last fall, for many many pictures! She gave birth to a few more fawns this spring, who have become River’s “new best friends”. She is just as proud and pretty as last year!
Late January Steelhead fishing at the Niagara River “Canadian side” is where I capture this image.
A digitally enhanced photograph by Skye Ryan-Evans, of a huge male Black Bear walking alongside a small scenic lake in British Columbia. He took a long look back at us, then made his way calmly into the forest, disappearing into the mist. This gentle giant showed no concern at seeing us and getting the chance to photograph him was a rare privilege. 25% of all proceeds from sales of this item benefit the great wildlife protection group Defenders of Wildlife at www.defenders.org. A handsome Alpha male Grey Wolf image by Skye Ryan-Evans, with the words “Protect Our Precious Wildlife” below makes a very cool shirt or top. 25% of all proceeds from this item, benefit the amazing Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre in Golden, B.C., Canada, not far from Banff. This wonderful creature is one of the main focal points in the current North American political playground. Wolves are incorrectly perceived as a threat to man and livestock. Misinformed individuals including some otherwise educated politicians believe wolves should be eliminated. Wolves are not the threat, Man is! We destroy the land wolves inhabit, then we wonder why these great animals seek out food in farmers’ fields, towns and cities. Wolves need to be protected. We donate 25% of all profits on this item to the Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre in Golden, B.C., Canada Photography by Val Brackenridge taken in Golden BC, Canada

Northern Ontario has some of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve seen. I think it must be the lack of air pollutants, lack of people, and lack of anything besides forest and rugged wilderness. This was shot while canoeing one of the many lakes north of Elliot Lake Ontario, Canada.
Picture taken in Banff National Park, Canada
Driving in and out of snow squalls, every few miles another vista appeared that I couldn’t resist. The light snow on the trees made them stand out. Soon they would be totally covered in snow. Banff National Park is one of the oldest of the chain of Canadian National Parks and is famous world-wide. It is located along the ridge of the Canadian Rockies in the Province of Alberta. The picture was taken after driving west from the town of Canmore,Alberta,Canada. The Canmore area is the start of the main foothill region of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, and we were on the last legs of a motor trip from the Pacific Coast (Victoria) to the Atlantic(Halifax) and back again, over a 3 month period. Featured in Wildflowers of North America on July 25th, 2009. No post-processing. / A close-up of two vivid purple Common Wild Rose blooms taken on a bright sunny day in Lynde Shores Conservation Area in Whitby, Ontario, Canada. Common Wild Rose (Rosa virginiana), also known as Virginia Rose or Prairie Rose, is a woody perennial in the rose family native to eastern North America. In the Canadian maritimes, it grows with at an almost invasive rhythm. It is seen in meadows, vacant lots, ditches, even in dumps.
Capstick is at the northern tip of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. To get to it, you drive on the Cabot Trail through Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and where the Trail crosses the island from west coast to east coast, another road branches off to Cape North. Following that road brings you to the village of Bay St. Lawrence and just before entering it, one more road branches off to the west and follows along the coastline to Capstick and Meat Cove, which is the end of the road, literally. It’s a very rugged coastline with many headlands, small beaches, and scattered country homes built along the road between the Atlantic Ocean and the interior forest. This picture, taken in October 2006, shows the hardwood trees very near the peak of the autumn colours. Camera, Sony DSCF828.
Sunny high altitude meadow criss-crossed by creeks and runnels originating at even higher places from the melting of snow and ice hidden among the rocks and boulders (Kananaskis Country).
High, snow-capped mountain peaks loom just beyond a pine cloaked valley. Captured from the road to Red Rock Canyon in Waterton Lake National Park, Alberta, Canada. / Taken with a Canon Rebel XSi using an 18-55mm lens.
