  • These two posed very well for me. I seemed to mind the cold more than they did, imagine that? LOL

  • Keeping warm was a challenge at this year’s Christmas parade. A number of local businesses gave out free coffee, cookies, and hot chocolate to help parade-goers maintain a healthy temperature. / ........................................................................ / / / ..................................... / Click here to add me to your watch list. / .....................................

  • Winter path in forest

  • A path in the forest.

  • A winter forest and water scene.

  • We had a powerful snowstorm on Saturday evening. The visibility was poor and the wind was buffeting the trees. We lost power a few times but we hunkered down in the house and managed to watch a movie. And there was no way I was going out in that. But I opened the back door early in the evening, and this is what I got. / When I downloaded the images I really liked this one.

  • Just south of Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, almost at La Barriere Park.

  • I just love Eeyore and I hope you do too! P.S. Eeyore isn’t the only one who wishes you a Merry Christmas, we do too! :)

  • I took this on the way home after a Christmas Concert by the Big Rock Singers and just had to share it right away. We have had a dump of six to eight inches of heavy wet snow lasting all day, causing me to shovel several driveways several times today. However, the absolute beauty of freshly fallen snow mixed with blue Christmas lights makes up for any of the day’s toils. Hope you like it.

  • Unposed candid picture of three generations, (my wife, daughter, and grand-daughter), enjoying the closeness felt during the Christmas season.

  • A crisp, calm and brilliantly lit Christmas Eve night in 2008, in our condo courtyard garden. A perfect night for the celebration of the birth of our Lord.

  • Dawn in the Purcell mountains in December during a week of skiing at Jumbo Pass, BC.

  • I took this photograph on Christmas day while vacationing in Nipika Eco-Resort in British Columbia. The lighting was perfect along with the low cloud. It had snowed lightly in the morning so the snow was nice and fresh. The low cloud formation gives the photo a nice dramatic look. © 2009 Anne Hale. / /

  • The little Star Fairy is very busy illuminating the park to create the magic of Christmas. Darkness comes very early in the winter, but the beautiful glittering trees will light up the night and will make the children’s eyes sparkle with joy and wonder. I uploaded the first version of this file quite late at night and did not notice until the following morning that I had uploaded the wrong version with the cloning out of the electric wires still obvious and the concrete texture too strong. I thought that I might as well fix a few things at the same time, so this one is in fact a rework of what I have uploaded last night, on December 19. During my recent midnight walk in the park, I set my camera on a tripod and made two shots of the illuminated trees around which unfolds the circular skating rink. One in focus and the other completely out of focus for the bokeh. In Photoshop, I combined the two images in overlay, adding a few adjustment layers, several sparkle and glitter brushes and a stock image of a child. I omitted the concrete texture in this version, but added a very thin overall veil of light and a little blur to add softness. Brushes from here , here and here / Little girl Here are the two photos I made of the park, in and out of focus (Parc de la Promenade, Candiac, Quebec, Canada) / /
