Tobermory is a gorgeous little town on the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario. It’s harbor not only filled with luxury yachts but also with a lot of shipwrecks, which makes it a divers paradise. Luckily for me you don’t have to dive to discover a few of the shipwrecks. Luckily because I spent to much time underwater once, without diving gear, and I’m not inclined to submerge myself for longer periods under water. ;) This beauty caught my eye when strolling along the shore, with the duck approaching, I had to hurry but I was just in time to capture it. Chinook clouds are a unique cloud formation found mainly in southern Alberta, Canada. A chinook is also known as the “snow eater” as it brings in warm air into the region during the winter. I am most proud of this shot so far in my short time doing photography. This image incorporates my passionate nature with my love of the ocean. I used to lobster fish with my Dad and so the ocean holds a lot of dear, and not so dear LOL, memories for me. I almost froze my hands off doing this. It was snowing a little while before I took this shot so you can imagine close to the water, with a breeze, how cold it was. However, in the name of love and romance, anything goes! LOL

The West Coast first people of British Columbia, Canada, have a name for killer whales or orcas…they call them sea wolves. If you have ever watched killer whales hunt, they do so like wolves.

This is a shot of one of the many cemeteries in town, this is the lane that leads into it. It was a really weird day with a mix of sun and cloud and fog. 1840 v2.0 / With the original versions of these pictures I was not able to use all the shots because they where damaged. But now, four years later, and with Photo Shop CS3, I’m able to rescue some really great pictures and show them now with pride. / This series was done in the middle of the woods, around the middle of Dec, 2002. It was freezing! The hot chocolate helped though. Most of these pictures are with Theak & Alex standing together, this was not a direction, and they were doing this out of a need for warmth! Half of these pictures were taken using a Nikon F, or F2 I believe, (no markings on the camera), and the other half with a Canon G3 digital camera. / Great makeup job by Rhiana, and of course, the whole look and feel of this shoot would not have been possible if not for the styling of Elisa. / Photo by Jef Harris / http://www.jefharris.net
