Nothing beats sitting around the camp fire talking with friends, arguably one of the most relaxing experiences possible. But….interesting isn’t it? Just how busy those sparks are !
30 minute long exposure, lit entirely by campfire. colours not modified in photoshop!
Flames leap high as the wind whips the camp fire into a frenzy.
One night sitting by the fire and thought I would play around with my digital and this is what I got.
Taken along the shores of the South Saskatchewan River. This photo was taken of an unsuspecting crowd. I captured the image with my Canon S80 (my current camera of the time). I was completely taken by surprise on how the images turned out. If I had known the results would be so good I would have tried to clean the scene up a bit. Although the photo may not have worked if any of them knew that the camera was on them. A boy and his dog setting at a campfire. I made this with an all black backround to accent the boy, dog and campfire.
Bored again.

As the full moon shines down on my campsite on the shores of the Sea of Toth, we view a cosmic storm raging across the heavens, hopefully it will never touch the planet. / With the planet “WoodHolme” rising above the Sasha Mountain’s. This is a collaboration between Sashawood and Alienvisitor And I used Sasha’s image / / “Sunset Soldiers Beach”
Another view from my campsite on the ledges above the Sea of Toth, no cosmic storms this night. / I love this time of day, just enough light in the sky to brighten the fair weather clouds, yet we can still see the stars of the vast unknown. This is a collaboration between Sashawood and Alienvisitor And I used Sasha’s image / / Sunset Soldiers Beach
this is a photo of my boyfriends brother, Josh. / Josh has autism. He is quite a character too. / Josh can be REALLY happy..excited..full of joy and laughter. / He is intrigued by the faces around him. / He doesn’t really talk that often, he laughs more than he talks to be honest. / He loves to observe what is going on in his surroundings. / It’s like watching a little kid just learning about the world…so curious. / When we have bonfires in Adam’s backyard, Josh will sit by it with bright eyes and a big smile. He loves watching the fire crackle and pop. It makes him laugh. / I took this photo because i wanted to capture that thought he might have been having at that moment. / I know its not super clear, its quite hard when you’re laying on the ground and have no tripod and no using any light except for that coming from the fire itself. I hope you like this photo and this story. / He makes me realize that nobody should feel sorry for people with mental disorders..because they’re happier more than half the time that we are…and they don’t care about the simple stresses we have everyday. Live Life To The Fullest..
This is the way my mind constructed this image: Another campfire situation, with the guy and his harley. It starts with a small fire, then the image of the guy holding his beer, just looking into the flames, he looks like a harley rider, so I paint the light hitting the harley, then I find another image of a harley in my collection of photos, so I put that on the other side, then I had to find a place where I could put the other rider, hmm, I thought, after drinking those three beers, he would need to relieve himself, so …there ya go.

Using a tripod and the available light from the campfire and a lantern, I had some fun zooming my 24-105mm lens during a several-second exposure. Interesting effect, eh?!
Campfire + Photoshop = Madwoman ...Hmmmm….after seeing what appeared on its own in the campfire (see Uninvited Guest), I decided to take matters into my own hands literally speaking. It’s a very hot day today – 32 deg. celsius…too hot to venture outside really…soooo….say no more…. / /

At night the Zulu Warriors would gather around their campfire / and talk about their hunt and things that were important to the village. They would play their drums and it would echo into the distance of the night, quiet except for the sounds of animals.
When I was busy creating this Apophysis fractal an old title of a book came in mind: Campfire on the equator. So here is the finished work and perhaps you can agree with me that this design looks like a campfire. / Apophysis 2.08 3dhack Designer: Thea Walstra / /
Made my way through marsh grasses and more / I saw the fires, heard the music, laughter rang across the lake / I just wanted to join in the festivities / My row boat waited, oars broke the wake. Friends and family were there waiting for me / Stories were told by the warm fires / They pleaded and begged me to sing / Legs went flying in a gleeful dance / Morning came before we had a chance. Sing along, dance away, we were free / For another day. / Hot dogs on a twig, marshmallows oh our sweets / Ribs hurt with laughter, songs will stay in our heads / Memories were made, the earth was our bed. written by linmarie-11/05/2009 11” x 14” watercolor/India ink painting-2009 / “camp” / “camp” / “camp”
