Wow – my last journal entry was 7 months ago and what have I done since then??? Well, apart from experiencing my first AFL Grand Final win live – ‘Carn the Hawks… The Wicked Camper experience on the Great Ocean Road was so much fun that I’ve purchased a van (she’s a “Nissan Vanette”) and decked it out as a camper. This weekend me and Vanette are heading off to Exmouth where the rest of the family are converging for Christmas. And the best part about Vanette is that there’s plenty of room for the camera and I can sleep out overnight to get as many photos as I want. Watch this space for photos of endless beaches and sparkling waters…

Pattie and I just returned from doing an art show In St. George Utah. It was a long trip (8 hrs each way) but a beautiful drive. With being outside of our comfort zone and rain in the forecast I was very nervous. Friday had good crowds but just average sales. Saturday started out raining and things looking pretty bad. Then the last 4 hrs of the show just took off. It wasn’t our best show but more than I had hoped for. Talking to some other artists,many did as well or better than last year. I Hope the trend continues thru the rest of the year. I take my hat off to the city of St George and the St. George Art Council for a very enjoyable time. If I am lucky enough to get juried in again next year I will be there.
