There is only a 5 percent mark-up on this one. I encourage everyone to “f*ckin’ love” themselves a t-shirt with Ronald holding whomever is across and slightly to the right of you at gunpoint.

Taken in 1966, this is one of my favourite images of the 60’s of the iconic DJ, Sir Jimmy Savile OBE. I took the shot when I was 20 during my assistant days at 1:15 am, after a long advertising shoot for a petrol company with my boss, top fashion and advertising photographer John Cowan. I asked Sir Jim if I could run a couple of rolls of film for my portfolio. True gent that he is, Jim said “Sure!” even though every one was pretty tired after the 5 hour gasoline ad session. Anyhow, this is the result and it remains one of my favourite pictures to this day as it shows Sir Jim as he really was and is – a strong and generous human being who did not take himself too seriously. You are a true professional Jim, and I am eternally grateful to you for giving me this opportunity. Technical Details: Camera: Hasselblad 500C / Lens: 80mm Planar / Film: Tri-X / ASA: 400 rated at 200 / Exposure: 1/125 sec at f/16 / Lighting: 5,000 Joule Strobe in perspex light bank. © 1966 – 2008 John Hooton

Game between the old government and the new candidates. / The shape of this frame and putting nine images together i have used quite often in my artworks. There is a bit different version for dark shirts as well. In my zazzle shop you can find the same design showed on different models, colours and the backside printed with logo and instruction. Plus they print larger and their quality of printing is very good! And some others…

I create my art with a lot of passion for nature. This piece without the text, is in my portfolio titled “Nature’s Wrath” I thought it was fitting for this challange. When the challange was put out to HELP, I couldn’t think of a better way to share my work!! This piece was inspired by Kathleen’s Group Collaboration challenge and Challenge Café. In support of putting and END to WHALING in our world’s oceans!!! I feel that this is such a small contribution to this worthy and much NEEDED cause!!!! But it is a START!! Every voice added is IMPORTANT!!! Please help me, by joining me!!! Let our voices be their voices!! Let’s put an END to Whaling!!! Let’s stop their cries!! 100% of the profits from the sale of this print will go to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

Senator John Edwards, former US presidential candidate. Timing is everything. Edwards had a legitimate shot at the white house until his campaign ran up against history. He became “the other guy” and “the white guy” in the story of Hillary Clinton vs. Barack Obama. UPDATE: Caught cheating on his popular, ill wife. Adds poignancy to the portrait. He may be looking at the demise of a promising career.

In these environmental times… What emotions make people fight for this? In the southern hemisphere Christmas is in the hottest time of the year, it’s only been in the last 10 or so years that the ‘trend’ of Christmas lights (ala National Lampoon) has taken hold (sadly as with halloween there is no ‘tradition’ in Australia for this, just people wanting to keep up with their neighbours and seduced by the global marketing sphere influenced by the north). Imagine how many emissions are burned in the month of December alone… It’s not a huge sacrifice to not have them on, in fact if you rely on flashing lights to enjoy the season, I have my concerns… Or, at least, burn them only for an hour one night a week… In my neighbourhood they burn all night every night from the middle of November (admittedly the ‘green thinking’ aging council population and the ‘news’ paper encourage this by holding competitions…) I will start my campaign this year… NO CHRISTMAS LIGHTS FOR THE GOOD OF THE EARTH… ARGUING WITH ME IS FRUITLESS, AS THEY ARE PURELY DECORATIVE AND UNNECESSARY … I GOT THROUGH EVERY ONE OF MY CHRISTMASES AS A KID WITH A SINGLE STRING OF TREE LIGHTS. Mind you, we barely had a phone a tv or a car… so…

The results of our election here in the United States have given us great cause for celebration and hope. I’ve been trying to think what I’d like to say about it all today. I have found some very eloquent words, not written by me, that reflect what I’m thinking about. I won’t tell you who wrote it until the last, I’m afraid many won’t read it otherwise! But here are some snippets of an email sent to me this morning…...... In a nation that was founded on genocide and then built on the backs of slaves, it was an unexpected moment, shocking in its simplicity: Barack Obama, a good man, a black man, said he would bring change to Washington, and the majority of the country liked that idea. The racists were present throughout the campaign and in the voting booth. But they are no longer the majority, and we will see their flame of hate fizzle out in our lifetime. There was another important “first” last night. Never before in our history has an avowed anti-war candidate been elected president during a time of war. I hope President-elect Obama remembers that as he considers expanding the war in Afghanistan. The faith we now have will be lost if he forgets the main issue on which he beat his fellow Dems in the primaries and then a great war hero in the general election: The people of America are tired of war. Sick and tired. And their voice was loud and clear yesterday. We may, just possibly, also see a time of refreshing openness, enlightenment and creativity. The arts and the artists will not be seen as the enemy. Perhaps art will be explored in order to discover the greater truths. ....................What will it be like to work and create in an environment that nurtures and supports film and the arts, science and invention, and the freedom to be whatever you want to be? Watch a thousand flowers bloom! We’ve entered a new era, and if I could sum up our collective first thought of this new era, it is this: Anything Is Possible. There is big work to do. But this is the week for all of us to revel in this great moment. Be humble about it. Do not treat the Republicans in your life the way they have treated you the past eight years. Show them the grace and goodness that Barack Obama exuded throughout the campaign. Though called every name in the book, he refused to lower himself to the gutter and sling the mud back. Can we follow his example? I know, it will be hard. end excerpt And now, do you want to know who wrote all that? Wait for it, wait for it…........................ / Michael Moore!

Someone comes into work with a sniffle and a cough, next thing you know the whole office has it. Then everyone’s partners and kids seem to have it. Before you know it, half the neighborhood seems to be coughing and sniffling. This is a virus. And typically they are not very nice. Someone in the office sees a funny commercial online and bursts into laughter in their cubicle. In fact, it’s so funny they then forward it to a bunch of colleagues who then send it to all their mates. Before you know it, everyone has seen it. People start to make parodies of it. Then you talk about “that guy in the somethingbrand ad” and everyone knows who you mean and has a chuckle with you. This is viral marketing. And it’s very nice if it’s promoting you. So you have decided, yep, I like the idea of heaps of people sharing and forwarding my email/video/podcast/picture. Now what? What will make it viral? While there are no hard and fast rules, here are some elements of good viral campaigns… Embrace emotion. Make people feel something. Move them. Make them laugh. Offer free stuff. If I saw good free stuff, I’d tell my friends so they can get in on it too – wouldn’t you? Be prepared for more traffic. If it works, you will be busier. Don’t make a commercial. Share a story. Share something you would tell people about. If it’s hard to share, no one will do it. Make it really really easy to forward on. Surprise people. Purple camel milkshake, you raunchy beast. People remember surprises. This guy goes into more detail
