  • Some of my fondest memories while living in India took place in the deserts of Rajasthan. / I spent more than one year in and out of the desert. Here is a photo taken by a boy whom I adored. His name was Chilly! He named himself and he was my guide. We met many families and stayed in many homes.. I would go find him after a stressful day when I was doing business in a small town outside of Jaipur and all I would have to do was look at him and he knew,, he would go get Krishna, my favorite camel and we would go out.. He would pack enough of what I liked to eat and sometimes we just stayed out for a few days. It is interesting who you run into in the desert. And some of my future writing will be filled with these stories..
