This weekend I did something very very silly…. / I took my new camera on a jet ski in a plastic container (i.e not waterproof housing) and got some snaps of Port Phillip Bay. We only nearly fell of the jet ski, hmmm…. repeatedly. I hope it was worth it! Thanks to my Jetski driver and all round relaxing company James

I shot this at the southern tip of Tasmania around 9pm Daylight savings time. This is a bay called Surveyor’s Bay. Tassie is just so gorgeous. Pristine, untouched (almost) and wonderfully peaceful. “Floating on Clouds” was shot in Goulds Newfoundland Canada. This is The Dory in natural light. I was talking to a friend about shooting “The Dory” and “Floating on Clouds” and how I used a polarizer to bring out the clouds on the water (as seen here) and removed it and used a flash to shoot “The Dory”. I was wondering in hindsight what I would have come up with if I had used the polarizer and flash at the same time. I know I would have given up about up to two stops with the filter which would have meant a slower shutter speed and the boat was moving, ever so slightly, so it may not have worked out? But maybe next time, live and learn!
