I think this is one of my favourites. Ever. The background (sky and water) is a photograph of clouds I took last summer just before sunrise. I never really figured out what to do with it. Inspired by the dreamy tune of Catch A Fall by 4 Strings Original Shot / Reworked Version /

Acrylic On Canvas Concept: Ophelia having some solitude, she’s meditating on what love is all about…love between lovers, between friends, between parents and children, between teacher and students, between owners and their pets and etc….the greatest love is when one is willing to lay down his/her life(others-seeking and not self-seeking) for another person whom he/she loves. While painting this, it also reminds me of a famous chinese love tale, “The Butterfly Lovers”....thus a pair of butterflies. It is a tragic tale about how a couple could only find their love bliss after they pass on and both became butterflies.I’m contented to have found my bliss :D View my other “Love Meditations” creations at my Zazzle store:

I shot this at the southern tip of Tasmania around 9pm Daylight savings time. This is a bay called Surveyor’s Bay. Tassie is just so gorgeous. Pristine, untouched (almost) and wonderfully peaceful. I hope the shot conjours up some quiet time for all who view it :)

A backstage shot from my first attempt at event photography. The show was so dynamic and energetic that I wasn’t suprised to find the lead singer bent over catching his breath in the green room. I’m starting to appreciate candid photography more and more. There really is something special about capturing a moment that would otherwise be lost in time. The Dandenong Ranges (Victoria) are host to many of Melbourne’s most wonderful gardens, landscaped in ways you aren’t likely to find anywhere else in the region. During Autumn, some of these gardens really show themselves off and are a place perfect for quiet reflection and to take in all the beauty of nature.

The Mornington Peninsula is known for its cooler weather and stronger winds (especially along the southern coast), and rarely has conditions suitable for fog. On this day I struck it lucky. I had been visiting the Peninsula every time I heard there was the possibility of heavy fog along the coast but it never happened. Years passed, and then one day it was there and it lasted nearly all day. It’s quite unsettling too and very much out of character for the area. I spent several hours going from location to location shooting as much as I could. Here I photographed one of the more unique ‘castle’ style private jetties along the bay-side. It was soo quiet and the water wasn’t moving or making a sound.
