Location: Vineyards near South Rd Aldinga Beach, South Australia I wasnt happy with the light & colours on the origonal, so I made some adjustments (to the extream I saturated it). I’m watching these vines every week to see how the light changes on them at differnt times of the day. I’m also going to watch the seasons change. I love the lines & wont to get it just right. A rough day on the beach in Byron Bay does not deter the keen surfers from getting a peice of the action. Notice the rays of sunlight coming through the clouds down towards the people entering the surf.

The view from Friar’s Crag along Derwentwater towards Borrowdale, early one October morning (about 7.45am); a perfectly still symmetrical reflection of pink sunrise, part of Catbells and an island in the lake. Taken on the Shen-Hao large-format camera with Fuji Velvia (RVP) film. ...and then I strolled back to the b&b for breakfast, eyes twinkling, feeling like prehistoric wild-man returning to civilisation :)

Tonkawampus A Famous Local Chief, Chief of the Tonkas ~ Chippewa~ Sunset Reflections Interior Alaska Chena River Lakes This is from my collection: / Chi-Hoota-Wei ~ Many Fires, One Great Light ~ Alaska / Sky reflections on Chena Lakes. Titles and quote commentaries are Lodge names and translations of Order of the Arrow Insignia ~ Chi-Hoota-Wei ~ Many Fires, One Great Light ~ Links to websites with more information on First Nations ~ American Native Tribes “The Ojibwe language-otherwise anglicized as Chippewa, Ojibwa or Ojibway and known to its own speakers as Anishinabe or Anishinaabemowin-is an Algonquian tongue spoken by 50,000 people in the northern United States and southern Canada. There are five main dialects of Ojibwe: Western Ojibwe, Eastern Ojibwe, Northern Ojibwe (Severn Ojibwe or Oji-Cree), Southern Ojibwe (Minnesota Ojibwe or Chippewa), and Ottawa (Odawa or Odaawa). The Ottawa have always been politically independent from the Ojibwe, but their language is essentially the same—speakers of all five dialects, including Ottawa, can understand each other readily. Many linguists also consider the Algonquin language to be an Ojibwe dialect, but it has diverged more and is difficult for Western Ojibwe speakers to understand. As its name suggests, Oji-Cree has borrowed many elements from Cree and is often written in the Cree syllabary rather than the English alphabet.” ~ Source ~ http://www.native-languages.org/chippewa.htm

Last year, while on holiday in Denmark, and I was determined to capture the beauty of the place, I’ve kept coming back to the last 10 years. / It’s a calm place called Køge, an hour from Copenhagen. / I got up every morning at 4 to catch the sunrise, but it was always overcast and dull. / Finally, after about a week of early mornings with no great results, there was a sunrise worth watching.
