  • Some hidden rocky beach in Tenerife. We stayed awake all night around a tiny fire, drinking and drinking, talking and talking. / The Moon surprised us by dawn. / That strange it was.

  • This morning was a gorgeous morning to be up and about…. 5AM and I was wondering the rocks of North Narrabeen in just a T-shirt. Not a cloud in the sky, not a puff of wind, hardly a swell in sight. Not the best conditions for seascape photography, but a lovely morning to be up and about enjoying the Spring weather. Did manage to take this photo of North Narrabeen Rock Pool. Love the old textured planks around the pool.

If you have this setup I would be very interested to hear from you what experiences you have made in regards to vignetting and what Lee components you have mounted on your lens. Thanks heaps

  • A sunrise such as this is a rare event. Good fortune found me in one of favourite spots that morning. A primeval atmosphere seems to pervade the image. One could imagine a similar scene millions of years ago.

  • A rock’s eye view of the loch of lowes – I think this has a certain messy charm compared with the more pristine perfection of ‘loch of the lowes’ or ‘LoL’ Let me know what you think – comments and tips most welcome Loch of the Lowes lies in the beautiful scottish borders between Moffat and Selkirk. It flows into nearby St Mary’s loch (with its thriving sailing club) past old Tibbieshiels inn, hostelry and overnight stop for walkers on the southern upland way crossing Scotland. Overlooking the north end of the loch is a monument to James Hogg – the Scottish Poet known as the Etterick Shepherd, friend and contemporary of Sir Walter Scott. Taken 4/3/08 (untouched) with a pocket fuji finepix A500 (there is a 2nd loch of the lowes further north in Perthshire, complete with osprey viewing centre – but you can see the wonderful fish eagle hunting here too if you are lucky!) loch of the lowes’ : ‘LoL’ : / ‘i am a rock’ : /

  • Yup, that’s what it is…a sunset from the rocks on Schoodic peninsula in July…so wonderfully mellow there…possibly my favorite place. That’s Cadillac mountain in the distance (the main part of Acadia National Park). Schoodic is the ‘quiet’ part of Acadia, less frequented by noisy tourists… / This area is threatened by a proposed 3000+acre ‘eco resort’ for the rich to be located on and just off this peninsula…an Italian investor wants to build it…it would totally destroy the beauty and peacefulness of this wonderful place…the locals are mostly opposed to it, but in the ‘land of greed’, where there’s money to be made for those that already have too much, you can be sure it will eventually happen, sadly… ~ please view large ~ Schoodic peninsula, Acadia National Park, near Winter Harbor, Maine, US / 7/09 / Canon EOS T1i, 18-55 (18), auto landscape / thanks for the look, my friends!
