My favorite way of drawing is with no reference or particular idea of what to draw. Just start drawing lines and see what becomes of it. This is one of those.

The Bush Stone-Curlew is an interesting and cryptic bird famed for its long legs, plumage and eerie calls (not to mention their eyes). Within parts of the birds range they are beggining to disapear due to human encroachment and the effects of introduced species. In other areas however such as parts of Brisbane, Queensland where this bird was photographed in the wild they continue to flourish.

Caller Ten

Texas A&M University began using a telephone-based registration system for classes in 1986. Rather than standing in long lines, students could-in theory-use any phone to choose which courses they wanted to take. To say the least, things weren’t perfect at first. It was difficult to get through to the registration system, and when you did, often the courses you’d selected were already full. So you frantically searched the printed course schedule for other classes, knowing that you couldn’t hang up or you might never get back in. A few clever souls discovered that since the registration phone system was on the campus exchange, other telephones on campus had a better chance of grabbing a line when it became available, so lines formed at payphones and dorms with students waiting for the phone. And while the tale related above never occurred, as far as anyone knows, I have seen cheeks which would put Senior to shame, whichever pair you think I mean. Oh, and despite the way it sounds, I actually did-and do-like Cyndi Lauper, and Madonna. The radio stations just played their stuff to death back in ‘86, until you couldn’t stand to hear it anymore. There’s been plenty of time to heal since then.
