Been to there…been there too long.
by montdragonOut of state that state of mind…love loving the long way home.
My son has been living in Portland Oregon he is driving home alone coming back to San Diego for awhile. I used to drive from the Bay Area to Los Angeles head out on Friday to see some friends and head back Sunday night, I always drove alone in silence just thoughts, no music no radio just the car and the road and words. It has been awhile since I have had that feeling of pure joy.

CALIFORNIA IS ON FIRE
by Nancy ChambersHere I sit in my paradise; / Smoky haze instead of blue skies / Tears; they fill my eyes. The smoke lies like fog; / In the early morning…
In Northern California the fires are raging all over and the smoke is horrible. My home was filled with smoke and smelt like fire for days. Each time we think it is clearing out another on begins. Last night we braved the smoke and sat outside a bit. As I sat there, I jotted this down.

Los Angeles....
by montdragonLos Angeles…sleek and shabby chic the car is your avatar..
I have been thinking of taking a little trip back to my hometown L.A. a wicked wickedly wonderful city, I love that city, easier said than done and not very far from where I live now San Diego, California. I have spent a lot of time working and traveling and living in other American cities all of them having a “something” about them but they ain’t L.A. I have been fortunate to see and visit some of the great cities of the world, my rumination is about American cities that I love literally, and our cities are still very young compared to the cities of the world. If you have ever thought of visiting Los Angles you will either love her or hate her, no two ways about it. It is worth the trip and California is a nation unto itself….I say that because I am a California.

2 Brain Storms for Story Starters
by DevaDaDivaDeep in the cold blue depths of the ocean, swam the Dophilas,...........,It’s claws stained with blood, it’s ears ripped to shreds.
These are two completely separate ideas I had for two different stories. Once again, like many of the other stories, these are not finished and they are only beginning, but I think they could grow to be pretty interesting stories.
