TAKING THIS PHOTO / / AND THIS PHOTO / Now the important news.. I see some images that look not so blended.. / Here is my secret. I always take more of the image surrounding the image I ultimately want..in this case the face and upper body.. when selecting it in places that will have a one toned color behind it like the blue sky here and part of the ocean… I took more around his face and body so when I blend using a airbrush tool (eraser) I can magnify and blend into background better.. / I then marry the layers and then add hue and sat if needed.. in this case I did. Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe, CA. One thing I really like about this shot is the paddle boat. I’m not sure which one it is the, MS Dixie II or the Tahoe Queen, but it puts a nice perspective on how huge this lake really is. Fannette Island is classic and sets a more interesting composition. Taken with Nikon D70
