  • Caleb playing and making faces at me

  • Caleb Wade, Maria Dryfhout’s brand new grandson, came into the world today. I designed this image in his honor to celebrate his arrival. To soften the image and to make it gentler in appearance, I applied the dry brush filter and since Maria’s grandson made his debut in March, I thought I’d add a sprig of shamrock. Caleb, welcome to the flock!

  • This took me all day to do. Firstly I put a different head on the woman, then put her on the horse.I then put a shirt on the man, changed the colour of his trousers and hair and added him to the fog scene as well. This is the poem Sally Omar and I wrote together to go with this picture. We sure had fun.LOL. Caleb was in the field / The fog so thick he could barely see / Charlotte riding her stallion / This made her feel free Caleb thought he heard something / It sounded like a song / Greensleeves..that was it / But he thought..perhaps he was wrong Charlotte rode slowly / Barely could she see / Not at all minding / Singing a melody She passed Caleb..and stopped / She saw him standing there / Being surprised at first / By his beautiful blond hair As their eyes met / A smile covered his face / He had never seen someone / Riding a horse..dressed in lace Charlotte didn’t believe / In love at first sight / Until she saw him / Her heart leapt in flight She felt stirrings / As she’d never known before / The feeling of excitement / Shaking her to the core Caleb was shocked at first / Thinking he’d seen a ghost / As he gazed upon her beauty / He knew he desired her the most She parted her lips / Said “Good Morning, sir” / And then Caleb knew / His dream woman was her Charlotte turned her stallion / Disappearing from sight / Caleb called out to her / His voice feeling tight He felt so lost / Feeling such great pain / Till her heard her voice / Calling…”We’ll meet again.” He thought of her / And thoughts remained / After meeting her / He was never the same Caleb looked all over town / But could not find / Beautiful Charlotte / She was always on his mind One day again in the fog / He heard a sound / It was Charlotte / When he turned around She giggled / And he laughed with glee / He was thrilled / Charlotte he did see He grabbed her hand / He held her near / She felt so warm / And in no fear Caleb told her of his love / And how he must / Marry her soon / Charlotte did blush She cried as she said “No / I am not really here / Although you see me / I am not of this world, dear” Many years before / In the fog / Her horse threw her / When he tripped on a log They both died / Face to face / And come back / To ride in this place Poor Caleb / Love not attained / In the fog / He just remained CALEB & CHARLOTTESharonD and I wrote this poem and SharonD did the artwork..it was the first time on / RB that I had ever collaborated on a poem and it was great fun..Sharon and I intend / to do others..Thank you so much Sharon.. • This piece is in HONOR of my Amazing Son Caleb The Mighty. His brilliant intellect gives me Great Joy--and Challenge—he looks deep into everything his path leads him to. Caleb has risen above many fiery trials already in his young life and faces each new one with wondrous strength of heart and mind. His honest pilgrimage toward enlightenment challenges everyone who crosses his beautiful pathway. His camera has been his side-kick of late, and I marvel at his creative visions captured for me to ponder and enjoy. Please go see him here on RB and also enjoy his most excellent photos—-and his luminous writings. http://www.redbubble.com/people/calebcrum I look forward with welling pride and knowing humility to see where this Mighty Man will leave his footprints. We named him Caleb which means “Mighty Warrior” *be careful what you ask for! LOL! He has always questioned and resisted quick, trite, and brainless answers--herein lies his rise. Challenge on my Mighty Son—dare to stand alone for the right! Right Fears NO MIGHT! / With All of My Love and Thanks, / Caleb’s Daddy I created this piece using many layers of my own original photos

  • ....Time is the most undefinable yet paradoxical of things; the past is gone, the future is not come, and the present becomes the past, even while we attempt to define it, and like a flash of the lightning, at once exists and expires…....
