The Away Team is sent in, in an attempt to prevent the escalation of anger between the Cacti Overlord and the Echino Rebels.* Starfleet Redshirts, Chiaki and Ona, are given the duty of liaising with the Echino Rebels. As communication breaks down, it is up to Starfleet to decide which side is twisting the facts and just who has drained the Cacti Planet Mt’Coot-tha of it’s valuable liquid minerals!   Sometimes it’s just time to say goodbye. With careful consideration, I have decided to discontinue Cactus Bed, Mountain Rise, a photo I took in Tucson, Arizona, back in 2004. It’s had a good long run in my portfolio here and on my personal website, but I do not think it accurately represents the kind of work I do now, and so it will be deleted from this website on April 22, 2008. For those interested in purchasing a card or print of this piece, you can do so until that date.
