  • “The sunlight played gracefully on the sweet face of this pretty bay horse. The warm colours of his coat shone in the afternoon sun. Lending me an inquiring eye, he approached me. His beautiful eyes delighted me while he batted his lashes with curiosity. / / Then, the perfect ray of light illuminated his profile, from where I could appreciate the softness of his lashes and the long, shiny hairs of his eyebrow. The coat turned fiery red under the warm sunlight. The tail bore golden braids of incredible glitter, playing fancifully with the sun rays. / / I wanted to bring all this beauty together in a collage, where the sweetness of the horse’s glance goes side-by-side with the luxurious colours of his body.” / / / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. • “The eyes of this friendly horse captivated me. Keeping a short distance from my face, he looked at me intently with an inquiring eye. The afternoon sunlight was golden and bathed his coat in a sheer layer. The mane flew softly around his pretty face while he demanded to be given a carrot with steady hoof stamps in front of me. / / I had no carrots, yet a friendly pat on his velvety muzzle earnt me a swift amicable slurp from his soft lips. I took close-ups at his handsome looks. / / This frame portrays the beautiful colour, hues and iridescence of the mane and lashes, all set aglow in the warm sunlight.” / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. • Just a bunch of Horse Chestnuts or Conkers as we call them over here.

  • “Equine beauty enthralls me. The sweetness of a horse’s glance, the velvety softness of the muzzle, the bristly ear hairs and the luxurious mane make me hold my breath. I wanted to pay tribute to their beauty by composing a collage with the natural patterns found in the horse. / / A closer look at the coat reveals amazing details of texture, colours and hues. The cascading mane over the shoulders makes a unique wavy design of contrasting textures. Glistening like tiny jewels, the tail hairs play with the sunlight offering a unique pattern at every step my equine friend gives. / / His handsome face adorns the centre of the collage.” / / / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. • The Plaza de España (Place of Spain) at Seville is maybe the most beautiful urban space I saw ever. Built as one of the facilities to the Iberoamerican exposition of 1928, recently has reached new fame as the Naboo spaceport at George Lucas’ film “Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones”. One of the sevillian traditions is to make a horse’s car ride around some of the most famous locations of the city, and this is what the people in the photo is doing
