In the first quarter of the 21st Century multiple countries are planning to establish permanent lunar colonies. The reasons are many but one of the main reasons are for the resources of the Moon which can be made into components for the human exploration of Mars. / / There are some elements that are in abundance in the lunar environment that will help with the biosphere of Earth. Many scientists are working on processes that will alleviate some of the energy issues that have gotten worse over time. Though the orb called Earth is our home, we as a society are slowly degrading the quality of our home world. / / As we move out into the Universe by first placing permanent colonies upon the lunar surface then outward into our solar system, hopefully, we will take the lessons learned by mismanagement of our home planet’s environment to heart as we move out into the stars. To live within our environment and future environments will allow us to expand outward to new discoveries and worlds which will allow for our species to grow as well as prosper. At the same time the cautionary note should be at what cost to the environments in which we plan to place our imprint. / / Will the lunar surface be scarred with “robotic” strip mining? / Will we unleash environmental disasters by ignoring the history of our own societies mistakes? / Will we honor what we have learned to be more eco-friendly as we begin to explore the vastness of space? / / Only time will tell if we are a society which learns from our mistakes or a society that consumes at all costs even to our own detriment. / / Some groups that you may want to visit and join: / AW Welcome Center / EF Welcome Center / Globes, Spheres and Curves / DaDa Land / Boolean Art / Fantasy Art / Human and Nature / Light and Reflections / Disclaimer

Plenourium Inarticulatus the capital of Terrigenous Myxedema after a Whistie raid destroyed most of the major population centers of the planet. Terrigenous Myxedema was a thriving financial center on the frontier between the Fartherthantruth Alliance and IPUP. The Whistie leader targeted Terrigenous Myxedema because it would not convert to their dogmatic faith, the Lite Weight Church. Just before the raids the governing council converted all their financial resources to IPUP Credits and stored them on Jorelton Prime. The Planet broke away from the Alliance applied to the IPUP for admission was accepted and began the rebuilding process with the IPUP 18th Fleet patrolling the area for security. The planet took 1.5 dreens to recover from the attack of the Whisties. “It’s not the voting that’s democracy, it’s the counting.” Tom Stoppard “Voters don’t decide issues, they decide who will decide issues.” George F. Will “The fact that a man is to vote forces him to think. You may preach to a congregation by the year and not affect its thought because it is not called upon for definite action. But throw your subject into a campaign and it becomes a challenge.” John Jay Chapman “The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all.” John F. Kennedy “Constantly choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil.” Jerry Garcia On November 4th, 2008 Americans have the chance to help select the President and the direction our country shall take over the next few years maybe even longer. Don’t sit at home and let your vote not be counted, every vote does count especially during this blackest time of America since the Great Depression. If you think your vote doesn’t count you have not learned from history where candidates were decided by the difference of a thousand votes or less. If you don’t vote you don’t have the right to complain about what happens to America after the vote you gave up that right by not casting your vote. So go vote as if your world depends upon it because it does on many levels. Original: 42”h x 42”w x 1.75”d, Ink on Acrylic. Contact the artist for any information, pricing or shipping details. On Yenohedam the city of Nassam lies in ruins. Nassam was the center of the Church of Truth Lite. It was attacked by the Lite Weight Churchs militant arm the Whistful Ones (Whisties or Joanies as they are called across the Fartherthantruth Alliance). The Whisties have a doctrine of Irresponsible Retribution Always (IRA) in the name of their faith. The Lite Weight Church was a splinter group from the Church of Truth Lite that followed an ancient belief that the Godhead (Eusamot) would come to them in a vision while they were experiencing the traditional Dne of the soul. This attack was just the latest of brazen attempts to force the Fartherthantruth Alliance to convert to their belief system. They strike without warning or provocation even the main church hierarchy has publicly denounced the Whisties but most of the Fartherthantruth Alliance Defense Force have doubts as to the sincerity of the denouncements. / / Source: Ipedia of Worthy Content (iWC); Volume 17, page 31. “Life cannot be destroyed for good, neither … can history be brought entirely to a halt. A secret streamlet trickles on beneath the heavy lid of inertia and pseudo-events, slowly and inconspicuously undercutting it. It may be a long process, but one day it must happen: the lid will no longer hold and will start to crack. This is the moment when something once more begins visibly to happen, something truly new and unique … something truly historical, in the sense that history again demands to be heard.” / / Václav Havel (1936-Present) / / Some other groups you may find of interest as well: DaDa Land / Boolean Art / Human and Nature / Fantasy Art / Light and Reflections

For the word is never absolute truth, but only man’s frail and human effort to approach the truth. To reject the word is to reject the human search.” Max Lerner “Don’t join the book burners. Don’t think you are going to conceal faults by concealing evidence that they ever existed.” Dwight D. Eisenhower “I am of course confident that I will fulfill my tasks as a writer in all circumstances-from my grave even more successfully and more irrefutably than in my lifetime. No one can bar the road to truth, and to advance its cause I am prepared to accept even death. “The belief that politics can be scientific must inevitably produce tyrannies. Politics cannot be a science, because in politics theory and practice cannot be separated, and the sciences depend upon their separation…. Empirical politics must be kept in bounds by democratic institutions, which leave it up to the subjects of the experiment to say whether it shall be tried, and to stop it if they dislike it, because, in politics, there is a distinction, unknown to science, between Truth and Justice.” W. H. Auden “Magnanimity in politics is not seldom the truest wisdom; and a great empire and little minds go ill together.” Edmund Burke “Politics ought to be the part-time profession of every citizen who would protect the rights and privileges of free people and who would preserve what is good and fruitful in our national heritage.” Dwight D. “The major problems in the world are the result of the difference between how nature works and the way people think.” Gregory Bateson “I can’t imagine a right more basic than the right to breathe clean air. We’ve debated for years how that might be possible. My Interview With BySilent

This is a continuation of Jo O’Brien’s “chain survey”, my second interview, SHARE THE LOVE. I chose BySilent because he is just that – silent, and a very unassuming, very talented digital artist. I love his work and his writings. Check out all of the sidebar information he uses to complete each image. It was hard to choose but here are a couple of my favorites: “The Bog-2nd Take” “To The Moon, Alice” My interview with BySilent 1- How does being a creative person and pursuing your creativity affect other aspects of your life? Thomas: It affects and effects all aspects of my life. I constantly will find an inspiration for an image or how to present an image just from common ordinary daily activities. I am becoming more and more a “green” artist not just in subject matter but in the process of creating the physical piece. It is a never ending process to learn each day something new about myself, my art and the world around me. 2- Tell us about one person or moment that has made your time on redbubble particularly special or meaningful. Thomas: There are too many to just single out one moment or person. I think the general attitude of Red Bubble is the key. I am on many art community sites but Red Bubble pretty much stands alone at this time as a site run by artists for artists. You can tell by the way the staff handles the artists and the vast amount of diverse opinions, nationalities and concepts that flow through the site on a daily basis with the minimum of heavy handedness. Some sites out on the Internet profess many of the same ideals Red Bubble has but not many of them actually live up to those ideals. 3- Show & tell us about five works on redbubble that have moved or inspired you. - Ghostly Morning by brummieboy I have always enjoyed the work by this artist his photography of sea and landscapes have given me inspirations in my own 3d works. - Seacliffsof Basidion by Lisa Webber. Lisa is not just a peer in the 3d artist world but a friend as well. I always enjoy her work since it is such a departure from my own work because our styles are so different. The work she creates I can see how it was created since we use pretty much the same tools of creation but come up with such diverse styles in our work. - The Crusader by Frogster Larry is another 3d artist that I just enjoy viewing their work. Seeing the depth and the style of his work spurs me to get better with my own works. - The Blue Ridge Mountains by Mundy Hackett. Mundy was the artist from another site that pointed me to Red Bubble. I enjoy his photography and his integrity. - Mindscapes 1 by ZazaLogik. Just a wonderful artist that I enjoy viewing the work created. I always find neat little things in the work presented and the surreal nature of the creations by this artist always floors me. The 5 above came to mind but there are so many more artists. I feel I could have listed a few hundred artists that inspire me to not just be a better artist but a better person.

“If people around you aren’t going anywhere, if their dreams are no bigger than hanging out on the corner, or if they’re dragging you down, get rid of them. Negative people can sap your energy so fast, and they can take your dreams from you, too.” Earvin Johnson “It takes a lot more energy to fail than to succeed, since it takes a lot of concentrated energy to hold on to beliefs that don’t work.” Jerry Gillies “I have nothing to hide” Sara Palin Original: 30”h x 42”w x 1.75”d, Ink on Acrylic. One In Three

In today’s world there are estimated 5,000 nuclear warheads in the United States arsenal alone. One out of three warheads is past their “expected” life expectancy and as time goes on pose extreme environmental issues as to where to put them as they are rotated out of the arsenal. Not to mention that the delivery systems may be brittle due to rusted decay, corrosion, and other maladies of age.

Our society has the technology to merge the waves of air and water into the synergistic hybrid of Wind/Wave Turbine Farms. To use the two natural renewable and constant forces of nature would help keep the costs of energy low as well as constant without adding to the ever increasing greenhouse effects that is leading to global warming. The merging of these two forces do not run out if you think “what happens when there is no wind?” Anyone that has been to ocean beaches can attest come rain or shine; clear or cloudy skies they are constant the ocean waves don’t stop nor does the wind cease. How much power can be generated by Wind/Wave Farms built instead of drilling for a finite and diminishing source of energy? President Bush who is a traditional “oil” man and his proxy from Arizona want to drill for fossil fuels which the experts have stated won’t begin to produce any crude for 5-10 years and there is no guarantee that many of those leased areas will have any oil at all. Though President Bush has signed an order countermanding his father’s executive order still needs Congress to actually make it a reality. It is time for the lawmakers to make it an incentive for a set percentage of those lands be made into Wind/Wave Farms. The source of the energy is not finite nor is it diminishing plus the farms can come online in less than 5 years. Where drilling is expensive and even with the current technologies is still not a guarantee of finding fossil fuels, the waves and the wind are constant 24 hours a day year round. When you go to the voting booth in November keep in mind sustainable energy solutions are not grounded in fossil fuels. Those that advocate that drilling for oil is the answer to our energy woes probably have had their campaign coffers lined with the money of “Big Oil”. Here is something to think about when you go to the polls: / / “In a 1998 interview, Osama bin Laden – the terrorist organizer of 9/11 who still roams free – listed as one of his many grievances against the U.S. that Americans “have stolen $36 trillion from Muslims” by purchasing oil from Persian Gulf countries at low prices. The real price of a barrel of oil should be $144, bin Laden demanded.” / http://thinkprogress.org/2008/07/05/bin-laden-144-oil/ The quote below is from the testimony of Anne Korin on May 22, 2008 to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs “Mr. Chairman, Members of the Committee, about ten years ago, Osama bin Laden stated that his target price for oil is $144 a barrel and that the American people, who allegedly robbed the Muslim people of their oil, owe each Muslim man, woman, and child $30,000 in back payments. At the time, $144 a barrel seemed farfetched to most. Today, bin Laden is a mere $20 a barrel short of his target and there is little doubt it will be attained. I would like to impress upon this Committee that $144 a barrel oil will be perceived as a victory for the Jihadist movement and a reaffirmation that the economic warfare component of its campaign against the West is a resounding success. There is no need to elaborate on the implications of such a victory in terms of loss of U.S. prestige and our ability to prevail in the Long War of the 21st century. It is therefore imperative that the U.S. Congress do its utmost to forestall such a setback.” Do you want the same people running the government that has fumbled the ball since 2001, be they Democrat or Republican? If our elected representatives continue to support a policy tethering us to the failed policies of “Big Oil” are they really representing America’s best interests when they continue to support the status quo. Original: 28”h x 32”w x 1.75”d, inks on plexiglass. Contact the artist for any information, pricing or shipping details. View the image that goes with this journal
