O.K..This will not make sense to you but it does to me! / Yesterday I noticed that a lady whom I know has joined RedBubble, as Wild1, so that she could comment on my pictures. She lives west of Byron Bay and I had hoped that I’d be allocated the far north coast beaches of NSW, this year, to assess, for the Keep Australia Beautiful Clean Beach Challenge. This would have been a great reason to visit her and her partner. Straight after conveying this to her, I read that there is this writers’ festival on, next year. I am not a writer. (Secretly I think I am!!!) My tenuous connection is a ‘brush with fame’ which I’ve written about before. I see that Marele Day is chairing one of the sessions. Marelle came to the ballroom dancing studio, in the early sixties where I used to hang around. We had a kind-of-romance by mail, as a result, while I attended teachers’ college and she finished high school. How the years have flown!! I bought all of Marelle’s books. I enjoyed all, although Mrs Cook was a bit slow and Lambs of God, I haven’t finished. I did attend one of her talks once, here in Sydney. She did not seem that impressed to see me again, even though I am quite a fan of her writing. So my dilema is that I would have loved a strong excuse to go up there and attend but…... (I do have a big bundle of the letters that she wrote to me, while I attended college. They are like a diary.)

Who owns the moon and what is there to own? / I have a cool flash tool here so you can zoom up on a very usual map of the moon. What secrets are there for us to discover? The biggest danger of living on the surface would be the asteroids. Statistically the safest place on the moon to be would be the site of the last big asteroid impact. Tycho Crater. When I was down at the bluesfest, on the Saturday I wore a T by Flower68. practice kind acts of randomness and I had so many good reactions to it, I was stopped by a few peole to get shots with it, I had people walking by and I could see them smiling at it, went to the cloakroom and the girls there loved it so much, they put the words up on a big board, had one girl come over from, this may have something to do with her comment, the Jim Beam tent and looked at it, pondered it a bit then said “na ….too deep for me, man”. I was standing outside one of the bars, just randomly standing there of course :) when this guy missed the rubbish bin with his chewing gum and stopped and picked it up, I said to him that not many people would do that and he replied that he wouldn’t like to stand on some gum and get it on his boots, then he noticed the T and we both laughed and I said to him that he had just done one…......cool…...so, not only a great T but a great way to meet people…......and instant feedback for flower….........ciao

Who is it that used to do that, and what show/movie was it in? Some man who kept bowing and breathily speeded out the line “I do thank you!” It’s stuck in my head, but unmoored, like a slightly leaky rowboat in a semi-frozen lake. Anyway, Expected was, apparently, just just featured in Birth and Maternity Lady Grinning Soul was featured in Feminine Intent the day before (that would be yesterday, to those of you who live time in a forward motion). The Time of the Blue Lotus Flower was featured in Incredible India, three days ago, which is, coincidently, roughly the same time at which Can I Help? was featured in ADAWG. I am not sure, out of all the ones before that, what I mentioned before and what I missed. I do thank you all for the features, though, including the many, many times Byronanarchy (who is no longer with us on RB) featured my works on B.B.W.. I shall not provide a link to B.B.W. as it has become a vastly different group since the time I logged on to find Byronanarchy gone from RB, and me removed from all the groups we had shared. Mind you, I am not accusing anyone of doing anything nasty like taking the groups over. I think he did it, and if so, well, he had his reasons. Just saying, it’s not the group I started and I wouldn’t purposely promote it, now, as it is exactly what I was hoping to best avoid in a group dedicated to the celebration of larger women. I know longer have the complete list of all the works he featured, but here are the ones that remain, which were featured in BBW: / Arletta Fatale Filtered Photo Self Portrait 3 23 2008 Hummingbird II In the seeing, saw photograph There were others, many others. Unfortunately, Byronanarchy was dragged into two different situations he found intolerable, regarding two different members who had given me a hard time and then went after him. One of them snubbed him when he also featured her art on the same page as mine, and basically treated the group as nothing – gushing over every feature, except the ones from B.B.W. But, after he left, after I was removed from the group, that same person was featured big time and gushed all over the place. That was the sort of thing, that sort of mentality, that made him leave Red Bubble. It’s a shame as there are some lovely people on here, who are not backstabbers, petty, liars, or the sort of persons who would mistake a good friend as an online boy toy and tell him obvious lies about a woman he very much respects. The good far outweighs the bad. Including the people who saw the bad, and chose to heal the rift, rather than instigate their own attacks over it, as, sadly, happens on so many sites. Here’s the last two I know about, out of the many, that he featured. / Arletta Fatale 9 10 2008 In The Seeing Saw It would be lovely if he would come back some day, because there was a man who could really make a person feel good, and who liked to make people feel good, who saw the beauty in young and old, thin and fat, waxing and waning moons. And that quality, more than all else, should be featured in everyone’s group! Whoops! Yes, back again. I forgot one very important one, the only print I have sold on Red Bubble Bubbles He’d kill me if he was peeking around and saw I forgot Bubbles!

Well I have just realised it’s my first Bubble birthday and I have barely been here lately cos I have been consumed with getting ready for this! Very excited to be holding my fist photography exhibition. I have had so much support from those around me, including the many creative types I have encountered here on the bubble. I thank them all for giving me butterflies and feeling rather anxious! Bit of a way to travel for many of you, but for those who are lucky enough to be in this part of the world, you are most welcome to visit! I hope the bubble continues to exist as a place of inspiration, community and knowledge for little fledglings like me. I thank the powers that be for it and the community as a whole. Heck…you all know how good it is…that’s why you’re here!

An RB Community initiative Hit me with your best shot is happening right now for photographers on RB…..a place to inspire and be inspired…. an opportunity to post a journal entry with your favourite photo and the story that goes with it….i’ve posted mine / over here Why don’t you too!!!! Here’s my best photograph and image, my husband shot this, and i photoshopped it…...it’s a sculpture of mine…it’s very big….you can see the footprints if you squint, gives you the idea of the size of it… Sea Star Sculpture Wategos Beach Byron Bay / _My best shot is this one above, it captures not only a stone seastar sculpture, but the memory of the day it was created. We were all there, my family and I…they were swimming, I was daydreaming on the beach, when some stones caught my eye, they were as big as my foot some of them…and others like pebbles, all lovely variations of colour….I found myself in a dream, creating this sculpture completely unintentioned…..just before we left to go home, my husband said we should take a snapshot…..i am too short to get it all in the frame, so he being the taller one, snaps the shot for me….i’ll never forget that day at Byron Bay…. Forgotten Beach this song reminds me of this day no comments necessary, just make sure you go and post your best photo here

I’ve been soaking up the sunshine in beautiful Byron Bay for the best part of the last week, so what a wonderful synchroncity that on my last night here the fabulous Finks Of Inks group has been kind enough to feature Byron Tattoo Byron is truly a magical place… Full of inspiration & many of my drawings have been done here… It’s not hard to see why it’s a Mecca for artists & creative types. Whilst here I also had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Karin Taylor & she is as intelligent, warm & funny in real life as she is floating around the Bubble! And just recently she very kindly purchased a greeting card of Break The Sun so a big big thankyou! Sadly I’ll be home tomorrow… Although it will be nice to have a full size screen back so I can properly see all the things I’ve missed! Xxx

Hi! / I’ve just started out designing postcards with my photos and I’d love to get them out to as many people as possible. The majority so far are of the Ballina/Lennox Head/Byron Bay areas and some hinterland, and a few of the Queenscliff/Point Lonsdale area. I’ll be expanding my collection to include Sorrento and the Great Ocean Road and also adding more to the northern NSW series. Please feel free to buy them directly from the site (link at bottom of entry) and set your own price, or contact me to order through me or discuss producing other products. I look forward to helping anyone to generate a little more income for their business or club. Cheers, / Bree Here’s the link

Does anyone know where November went? If you know, please tell me as I think I’ve lost it. To view the new additions head to www.redbubble.com/people/nicoletattersall. For those of whom like a craft magazine I recently did an interview about Christmas for the November issue of Get Creative Magazine, which you can pick up a copy at your nearest Spotlight store.
