  • I actually took this shot while “You’re not the only one” by Ammonia was playing on my Ipod. Great song fitting image. “Cuts like pins and needles, miles and miles away. I took the shot through the Windscreen of my car. I really like the effect, it seems quite sad and intimidating.

  • A black & white representation of the Taj Mahal in Agra, India.

  • The Roll of Honour, Australian War Memorial, Canberra, ACT

  • Two Brighton Deck chairs sit with great vantage spot of a incoming storm front. I love the moody feel to this shot. I must thank Matthew Bonnington for his help in bringing the most out of this shot, his help with some new processing techniques really add impact to this shot.

  • Out walking on a beautiful wet summer sydney evening.

  • Shot at the trainstation in Aarhus, Denmark in January – a train was leaving the station, and as I walked up along the carts, I noticed this guy sitting there. I moved a couple of carts ahead, put the viewfinder to my eye, waited for him to get in the picture – and snap.

  • Sisters having fun at the local water fountain, so much that they couldn’t bear to leave for dinner when their mother called. This brings a smile to one’s face and reminds us of our childhood antics.

  • a collaboration by me and my friend chris waud, this is me in the photo!

  • I took this on a recent trip to Brighton, and got up early so I could catch some cool light, and the dynamics of what was a very rough sea… well… comparitively. Brighton Pier is one of the classic 19th century piers in the UK, amusements on the end, kiss me quick hats for sale and so on… Black and white has given the picture an edge over the colour version….

  • This is a girl playing the ukulele on the sideline of a football match. It was the clown’s ukulele, who performs and entertains the children at the sports carnival. He leaves various items including unicycles and skateboards for the children to play with. This little girl caught my attention. Most children are running around and having fun – running, jumping and playing – whereas she just sat alone for a few short minutes, by herself. Behind her a game of football was being played in the background. Hard to believe.

  • This is a rather old image from the bottom of my big box of negatives that I’m slowly converting to digital files. I had been out on a fashion shoot and at the end of it I found I had 2 frames left. So on the way home with the model I stopped in at Graffitti Hall of Fame in Alexandria which is one of the inner city suburbs of Sydney. In this digital age its hard to imagine having faith in taking a good picture with only two goes at it but there you are! I got the model on to the roller and shot one from the front and with the very last frame shot this one. I hope you like it as much as I do. :) This is what it looks like framed

  • A boy of about 12years age just returned to his hut after toiling hard in a brick-kiln only to help his parents financially, who also work in the brick-kiln as daily -wage labourers.

  • Geisha on a Mission in the city of Gion The training involved in becoming a Geisha is very rigorous, and because of this the numbers of Geisha are declining. Few young women in today’s society are willing to devote themselves to such demanding training. To become a Geisha, if accepted, a young girl must go through an apprenticeship that involves living with a head Geisha. This training period takes five to six years. During this time, the Geisha trainee must help with the chores and the running of the house, learn customs and social skills, and take music and dance lessons. After about six months, the trainee Geisha is called a maiko girl, and accompanies a Geisha on her appointments in order to become acquainted with customers. At about age 20, the maiko must make the decision to become a full-fledged Geisha or not. If a girl wishes to marry she cannot become a Geisha. This photo was taken on the streets of Gion deep within Kyoto at around 4pm, which is when Geshas finish their hours-long makeup and preparation routine and head over to the evening’s assignment.
