This is the Father of the singer in my band, Under Pressure. The band was invited to the singer’s family reunion and I took this shot of her Father while he was playing on their front porch. This was my favorite shot from that day. “Stop Pickin’ On Me” has been featured in the Country Bumpkin group twice, the Happy Haven group , the B&W – Character – People Shots group and Portraits in Natural Light group. Observed this in a London Park in the late 1960s. I was attracted to this because it seemed to have a personality of its own. I think that something like this left in a public space today would attract the attention of the security squad. Changed days!

I must admit I’m a proud man… But, sometimes, when I feel such a sight on me, I get down my throne ! / Lucile’s eyes are very dark and deep… Really astonishing !... (astonishing… is-it correct ?...lol!)
They caught my eye when I was walking from shelly beach to manly. So I went up to them and asked it I could take their picture. The one on the left side side yes straight away but the other one took I little convincing. I find that sometimes you need to remind people that they are interesting. I think explaning that I liked them as a pair was the reason I was allowed to take this photo. I did not ask them to pose simply to stand there. Through out the six photos I took of them they were laughing about the fact they were being photographed (I was laughing with them). When I told them I was finished one of them remarked “is that all?” (laughing). / Thanks to them I got a great shot and was smiling for the rest of the day! Image copyright © 2008, Elizabeth Duncan. Hank Snow -“Down The Old Road To Home lyrics” I’m thinking of you while here all alone / I’m wishing and longing for you and for home / I’d give this whole world if I could only say / I’m climbin’ that old hill heading that way. For I’m lonesome and blue / For some place to roam / And I wish it could be / Down that old road to home. With a troubled mind and a heart full of pain / I’ve searched this whole world for fortune and fame / But I’m longing to be with you once again / So we could go strolling down old mem’ry lane. —Instrumental -- There’s a little white house on the top of the hill / Not very far from an old sawmill / And I’d give this world if I could only say / I’m climbing that old hill heading that way. For I’m lonesome and blue / For some place to roam / And I wish it could be / Down that old road to home…
