This is a picture of my oldest and youngest child. We were in the yard one day and they were playing with coconuts. I love candid shots, so I was in the distance snapping pictures. Out of the blue, he bent down and kissed her on the head. It was the cutest thing and such a rare occurance now that he has reached that pre-teen stage in life. This photo of local children was taken on a small island off Cambodia in January 2008. The girl is holding her younger sister in such a grown up and mature way. I couldn’t see the mother in sight and think the children had more or less been left to look after themselves.

Taken at a wedding in December last year. The grandfather of the groom was looking a little bit tired and new great grandson went up to him and extended his arm as if to say, “It’s okay, Pa. I’ll look after you”. There is 80 years difference between the two of them, but the connection was instant.
