Dedicated to my father who passed away 9/15/08. Ephemeral: Lasting only one day. Lasting a very short time. I created this using various old images I had laying around and played with it in Photoshop. I almost feel like I should have a poem written for this piece, but alas, i am not a writer! This piece was featured in PixElations-The Art of Photography, The Graphic Room-Graphic and Digital Art and the Live, Love, Dream group as the Top Feature Piece of the Day – 9/5/08. Photographic based digital montage 2007 (1 from series of 6 – redesigned from 2004/5 Japanese Series) I shot the tree, flowers, roses, birds, combined them in P/S with drawn elements & filtered the lot. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers. The lot 60×60cms are printed on canvas gracing the walls of my home.

The Sea Venture was one of the first ships to arrive in Bermuda. It was thrown accidentally off course by a hurricane and landed on the reefs intact. Its original course was with a fleet from England headed towards / Jamestown, Virginia to aid in the colonization. From being shipwrecked, the crew and passengers of the Sea Venture settled in Bermuda and benefitted from its tropical paradise and set up a small colony. This painting is a Mixed Media piece, combining original digital photography taken in Bermuda by SBC, painting, and drawing. It is intended to capture the natural and surreal beauty of Bermuda. It won an Honorable Mention Award in the Rowayton Art Show in 2006 and First Place in the Darien Art Show in 2007.

Butterflies are amazing creatures….it makes me smile when i get butterflies inside me, and i know those that have been or are in love feel them also….this is no coincendence that they are called butterflies…......ancient mythology tells us that they were given as a gift from a Lady to her husband to show him how much she loved him….so he could feel her love everywhere he went…. Today when you feel butterflies, feel honoured that you also have been given this beautiful gift This shot was taken along a roadside north of Gainesville, Florida.

My son and I found this beautiful butterfly yesterday…...... Such grace and such awesome beauty….......... Life, what a precious thing indeed….......... I want to dedicate this to the awesome group Live, Love, Dream…....... You have each made me so happy! I am so very proud of you all and all that you are accomplishing…....... Such a beautiful group of nearing 1700 people… Its really climbing day by day…..... I had no idea when I dreamed up this group , that it would grow as it has…... YOU MAKE ME SO PROUD !
