This is a close up of my pet caterpillar. It has grown to a huge size – almost the length of my little finger – which is FAT considering it’s species. It has just turned into a pupa and so I am excited to see what will emerge! My family and i have this theory ( based on some of our previous experience) that big fat caterpillars often turn out to become small butterflies or even moths =P So we are hoping this caterpillar will be different! It’s amazing to see how God created such intricate details on such a tiny creature!

I’m really not sure what this stage of the caterpillar’s lifecycle is called! But I call it “pre-pupa”. Essentially the caterpillar curls up like this, and in a few moments time it’ll change into a pupa! =) If you look carefully you see (near it’s head) the strings that attach itself to the wall – 2 strands of silk. It’s amazing to see the tiny legs all curled up near the head too – I await for the butterfly! =)
