a series study.. because i loved the bundle of leaves i found on a walk..wrapped in worm thread. It has such a spiritual look and feel to it… i was fascinated by how it caught the light differently with every angle… the light source was just the late afternoon sun. / PLEASE VIEW LARGE

caught hiding in a hallway
Washington Square (University Place), Manhattan (USA) / March 7, 2009 After a foot of snow fell in the city last Monday, Saturday was warm and spring-like (snow was gone and perhaps love was in the air?). This couple making their way (the wrong way) on a one way street just epitomized the coming of spring. Found myself humming Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head and thinking of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Like so many others I always loved the scene with Katharine Ross and Paul Newman: what they made of a bicycle and an apple.
