Part 1 of the “Herbivores Revenge” series. Concept I planned ages ago but had a little trouble getting Daisy her mask – eventually sourcing in Sydney. Special thanks also to the Butchered Butcher and OzUnderground for the makeup work.

These chaps are currently living the good life at a local farm, later in the year i will be enjoying their good living at one of our massive BBQ’s! Johnsons’ of Oldhurst Farm Butcher, check them out and try their produce, it’s fantastic quality.

Meet meth head Barbie! She is the best friend a girl could ever have! She will f*ck your man, what are friends for right?! Cut your hair as to match her Awesome butcher cut, cause who wants to spend money at the salon when you could be buyin a bag?! She’ll take you for a ride! On her skateboard! (cause she traded her car for dope years ago!) She will supply you with fresh soda (though it may be warm…she hasnt paid an electricity bill in mos! Or she may just have to borrow some from you, while she rooms with you, because she was evicted, and has nowhere else to go!) Doesnt she look cute in her dealers shirt?! She might have to borrow your clothes too. We call her kind “Diggas” as in the kinda tweaker that digs thru your shit to either steal it from you or tell you how much she likes it until u give it to her so she will STFU….Oh yeah…she doesnt do laundry….ever…but she’ll do yours for some dope! She’s very giving too! she’ll buy the rigs (i..e. points, rockets, sharps, pinchers, stingers, or more commonly known Syringes) as long as you buy the dope…i mean common, $2.89 is a lot! She will lovingly call herself and you Ice Angels! how sweet! You guys are gonna be BEST FRIENDS!

The fruit and vegetable case, seen through the darkened window, is a familiar sight along Mississaga Street. Part of a new series focusing on Orillia; the jewel of cottage country. I went out walking this morning, Argoflex in one hand, Canon in the other / Popped into my local Butcher Shop. The boys were happy to let me snap away and intrigued by my setup…........much fun. This image was shot using the TtV technique and is part of my TtV: Through the Viewfinder Series Photographed using a vintage Argoflex Seventy-five and a Canon. Best viewed LARGE

I was blown away with this shot when I took a closer look… Taken at Roma St Parkland, Brisbane in the Spectacle Garden. This bird was jumping around inspecting all the flowers for pollen/ nectar, i was chasing him carefully, trying to get a better shot, of my many, and the standout picture of the day. Taken with a Lensbaby 3G for Nikon.

Soft pastel on canaletto; 100cm x 70cm. When I created this work, I wanted it to look aesthetically beautiful, yet have a grotesque and shocking narrative. I was inspired by Mark Ryden in an interview I read in Flash Tattoo Magazine, who claimed that blood is the substance that keeps our existence alive, which I found to be a profound statement, as well as the beauty and strange subject matter present in his works, predominantly The Cloven Bunny which depicts a white bunny chopped in half.
