We can make calendars (but ....) survey.

A little while ago I promised I’d have some more news on our calendar dreaming soon – We’re not 100% there yet, still fiddling around with the final printing stock, size, ordering hanger material etc BUT it’s really close … I’ve made some calendars that everyone I show them to like, including some real life users ! So there’s good news, bad news and we need your help. / / The Good: We are looking at a 13 page, A3 sized 300 GSM calendar, wire bound for about $18USD ($20AUD) – Plus a dash of postage. They feel heavy and look nice. The Bad: Christmas is coming and we have too much to do – But, if there is enough demand “we’ll” ( read Justin ) will try and find a way to squeeze them in somehow. The Help: So what I’d ask you guys to do is help us by answering a couple of questions (in the comments or via BubbleMail to me is fine) 1) How many calendars as described above would you buy of your own work to sell or give away ? / 2) How many calendars would you buy from other artists to keep or give as gifts if they were available ? / 3) How many ‘best of RedBubble category’ style calendars would you buy if they were available ? / 4) What’s of most interest – 1, 2 or 3. Ultimately I think we will do 1, 2 and 3 – But for this year we might have to compromise and I want to make sure we make the right choice to keep as many of you guys happy as we can ! James

Silence may be the fabric upon which music is woven... but Cog prefers to let it rip
by IncognitaUS$29.92
Someone once told Incognita that silence was the speech of angels. She immediately resolved to take up bagpipes, drums and violin. BTW More than half the world’s 6,000 languages will be gone by the end of the century . >

This shot was taken in the immense dune field between Lake Wau Wauka and Iron Prince Reef in the Howe Wilderness Zone, Croajingolong National Park. It is just near Cape Howe on the Victorian, New South Wales border where the coast line takes a dramatic turn north resulting in the sand building up on this rock flanked headland. On this particular day I had arisen an hour before dawn and witnessed the white dunes absorb all the predawn colours before a spectacular ocean sunrise had me chewing through my film in awe. I wandered around the huge dune field taking advantage of the morning light that emphasised the ripples in the sand. After some inclement weather this part of the dune field had dried out unevenly resulting in sand bands of differing moisture content being blown in alternate directions. The result was this remarkable, and logic defying pattern. For more pictures of this area check out my Croajingolong gallery. 10% of all profits go to the Wilderness Society

Weekend T-Shirt Challenge – Agent Provocateur / Theme: Your vision of the future Myopia is an eye condition also called near- or short-sightedness. Those with myopia see nearby objects clearly but distant objects appear blurred. Sorry to be all doom and gloom, but I see myopia as a metaphor for the way we human animals see with little future foresight. When we look to science and it becomes so big and powerful that we see it first over nature as our path forward, then we begin to badly play at being gods. Then our future becomes most uncertain. Even one of greatest scientists Einstein conceded that humans needed a whole radically new form of thinking if we are to move forward and survive. And I tend to agree. The heart holds the capacity for compassion, nurturing and love. And we always look outside of ourselves. Pack your bags…the end is neigh!
