Little Mary the Banksia Fairy has googly eyes from a sugar rush after eating to much bush honey! Silly crazy little Mary…. For this design I used the following things: dried banksia leaves for her wings / dried pandanus leaves for the dress / brown paper / white gesso / black pen / a bit of work in adobe photoshop

as with my other image when solitude is required… this image was taken near a house i used to live in… / this place way my favorite place to be alone i used to find myself wandering through the bush and way down at the bottom of the hill im the middle of victorian native bushland there stood an old pine tree that didnt quite fit… as it turned out this tree became quite known to me i used to find myself here often… / it was / “my place” / somewhere to be alone and just simply be…. featured in Sepia Only / top ten place in sepia-portraits challenge

Pastel on Colourfix paper (Brown) – 50cm x 35cm A collection of twigs, leaves and a cockatoo’s feather caught my eye whilst on one of my frequent walks through the bush. It is interesting what you see when you look down sometimes!
