Just felt like sharing. I saw a new place today and claimed it right away. I learned from experience that I have to decide quickly before I lose my chances. I’ve been interested in a few places before, which got taken even before I had a chance to check them out! I once even had a response from an agent one morning and replied immediately that I wanted to see the place, only to hear back that the place had gotten taken that morning (immediately after I was told about it!). My new place is is slightly more expensive than my current place (an extra 50 euros per months), but is much more conveniant. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to school as opposed to a tram ride where I have to try to give myself 30minutes to ensure I arrive to school on time and get squished between people and sometimes having their elbows resting on my shoulder – well I suppose rush hour anywhere in the world is unpleasant; I’ve had several unpleasent experiences on TTC buses back home as well. This new place is also much bigger – my bedroom is bigger too and has a real desk so I no longer have to work like this: Well truth told I’ve gotten used to working this way; I really didn’t mind it – the main thing was just finding a closer place… and a bigger kitchen… and not needing to do laundry by hand anymore. I’m really glad it all worked out. On the way home I just missed a bus. and I was thinking “Darn… ah but with this new place that won’t matter anymore…”. I’ll be moving to my new place after my new big project deadline is over :P

A priest and a drunken bus driver arrived at the Pearly Gates where they were met by St Peter. / “I am the village priest and would like to be admitted to heaven, ” smugly confident, said the priest. / “I am the village bus driver and want to come in too,” said the slightly hung-over bus driver. / “Okay,” said St Peter. “You, Mr Priest, will have to wait over there for a few more years, but you, Mr Bus Driver, you may go right in.” / “Hang-on a minute,” protested the priest, “I preached diligently every Sunday in church, and taught people how to pray to be good.. He is nothing but a drunkard.” / “Listen,” St Peter replied, “when you preached, everybody slept. But when he drove, every body prayed like crazy.” ~ from “Rebellion, Revolution, Religiousness”

Hi all, I have just been informed today that the photo of the waterfall that is to be painted onto the back of a new charter bus has been completed and the bus is now in service. The owners are going to send through a photo of it to me very soon. They are extremely impressed with the quality and detail, so hopefully it might lead to some similar work sometime in the future. Fellow Taswegians keep an eye out for it on the road. Initially it was intended to go on the West Coast run from Ridgley, but they now plan to use it for a tour charter bus for the cruise ships coming into Burnie each week for the next few months.

I have just been informed today that the bus that has my photo of Guide Falls on the back of it was involved in an accident today. A car lost control on icy roads and turned sideways into the path of the bus. I have no idea of the condition of the car driver, but the driver of the bus and all passengers are OK. The driver is my sister’s fiancee, and she gave me the news. Hopefully the bus will be back on the road soon. One day someone will send me a pic and say they have spotted it! ... Come on, I dare u to.

Today I started a new painting. It’s just something I remember from childhood. / I used to walk by this place when I got off the bus on my way home from school. / I remember that Mr. Walker always had a field of corn and he also had pumpkins growing by the edge of the corn. And in the fall the leaves leaves from a big tree which I dont remember what kind of tree it was would fall on the dirt road and an occasional / whirlwind would twirl them around. Man I miss those days! / Be back soon.

I have been contacted and asked to provide a photo of Guide Falls in Ridgley just south of Burnie in Tassie. This photo is going to be placed onto the rear of one of the local bus company’s West Coast charter bus. If all goes well, my photo’s could start appearing on more of their buses in future! So off I went to Guide Falls today, took some great shots. Expect a flood of them on Red Bubble soon. The final photo is yet to be decided by the company manager, but when it has been painted onto the bus, I will post a picture of it in all it’s glory.

I was sitting on the bus today… the sun was shining and through the glass the warmth seemed to engulfed me… if i remember rightly death cab were coming through the earphones…. in fact… death cab is the only thing it would have been – a lack of colour…. and i just wished i could have captured the moment… the feeling of being warm… satisfied… on my way to meet someone i once thought was special…and everything seemed perfect..just right.and i just wished that there was a camera that could capture life through my eyes.. Its days like these that make me wish I studied film theres so many more possibilities to convey an exact feeling to a viewer and aso make them experience the feeling also… thats a mighty task in photography because the way its viewed is usually technically as opposed to emotionally… but anyway… i think my point is that once I have taken a photo thats a)provokes an erractic emotion and b) is a perfect representation on the feelings i experienced during taking the photo , then ill rest in peace…... i dunno if owt o’ that makes sense and I’m fully aware that it has a million spelling mistakes.im not exactly sober and i have serious insomnia. on a good note just checked my mails and I’ve got another commission from a massive english department store. not for a while yet… “And when i see you / I really see you upside down / But my brain knows better / It picks you up and turns you around / Turns you around, turns you around If you feel discouraged / That there’s a lack of color here / Please don’t worry lover / It’s really bursting at the seems / Absorbing everything / The spectrum’s a to z This fact not fiction / For the first time in years / And all the girls in every girlie magazine / Can’t make me feel any less alone / I’m reaching for the phone To call at 7:03 and on your machine I slur a plea for you to come home / But i know it’s too late / I should have given you a reason to stay / Given you a reason to stay This is fact not fiction / For the first time in years”

yes, I do really, I do. I didn’t learn to drive until I was thirty, as it suddenly dawned on me that all the jobs I could do were I drive away. And now… I still hate cars. They own us, not the other way round. If you can’t function without one whose the winner you? / Don’t think so, the motor industry is. And now various governments are trying to get us of the road, can’t say I blame them really, where does that leave us little folk though. Well I suggest you go on a Southend late bus for a year, a whole year, you’ll figure out why I really learned to drive, I got a little bit tired of the zoo, or should I say circus, whatever.
