Canon Powershot with IR filter “As Is” / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. So I’m afraid that a close-up of an eye with various work in photoshop may be a bit cliché- but enough people have done it that I don’t have a particular example to credit as my inspiration. Created in photoshop with a picture I took of my eye (next to the sink :) ) and a picture of a campfire from this summer. I now also have a second in a series of element eye images Awash – let me know what you think, I think I like Ablaze better but it will be cool when I have all of them… /

A ‘burn’ is the Scottish Highland name for a stream, creek or beck. On my walk through the forest, I spotted a broken branch of Rowan, with its lovely Autumnal reds, and placed it on the ledge next to the miniature waterfall. A still – life of Nature. / The water was coloured with the peat that it picks up as it flows through the hillside. / All that was missing were the fairies ! / I deliberately blurred the water, using f22 on my Canon EOS 40D, fitted with a polarising filter. Processed in PS CS3.
