Its late at night, you are restless, can’t sleep. A walk on the beach seems like a fine idea. No one is around. Just the sounds of the waves and the wind. The lonely wail of an offshore buoy, consistent and haunting. / You hear the sounds of your feet as you walk through the sand toward the path to the beach. / Nearing the path you wonder if it was such a good idea to walk out here alone at night. You hear rustling, the wind, you wonder? The buoy, beating it’s tune to the rhythm of the waves. A fog rolling in, brings a feel of unease to you. Looking down the path you wonder. Should I go? What was that sound? You strain to hear, but the sound of the waves and the wind leave you wondering if you really heard anything at all. And suddenly, the hairs on your arms rise….....

I remember watching all the documentaries on tv and i can’t help but tear each time i see animals suffering.. One that really strikes me is when they show this polar bear who had to swim for god knows how many days just to find food!! By the time it found land, there’s only darn HUGE walruses and out of desperation, the polar just tried its luck and attack them and fail!! it ends up with an injured leg.. then the voiceover said.. he’s more likely just waiting to die now.. since he’s injured, and he can’t get any food, and he’s already HALF his weight.. T_T I was like, somebody save them!! when i see them walking on thin ice.. slipping and falling… T_T and then i saw news on all the pollution thingy and how countries are so hesitant on reducing their pollution i was like.. ARGH, humans are so darn selfish!! and so i came up with angry Mr Polar Bear with a buoy.. n_n” My Animal Friends Series: / Collaboration Designs with Karin: / Check out my profile for a quick thumbnail listing for all my designs! =D Also available as buttons and magnets etc here: /

Came across this stranded buoy on the rocks when doing an early morning shoot. Love love love the textures of these rocks… especially as a contrast against the sky.

What a sky to see in the rear view mirror….It was a put the car in park morning….and follow the light. Taken on the Currituck sound side of Bell’s Island, North Carolina.
This started out as a fairly average snap….I think it’s turned out OK. I think I used about 5 layers of texture.

This glass float was given to me by a good friend who told me it came from England, and that it was used with anti-submarine nets during World War 2. Its approximately 14 inches (355 mm) in diameter and has no identifying marks.
The view to march wood in a torrential downpour one August evening at St Mary’s Loch in the lovely scottish borders. The orange mark known simply as ‘L’ and used for the sailing clubs weekly dinghy races has never looked cleaner… The southern upland way a longdistance walk from coast to coast across scotland follows the shoreline to Tibbies Shiels Inn at the end of the 2 mile long loch… Thanks so much for looking / cheers / :))) Nikon D60 / Nikkor VR 18-200 / UV filter / f/5.6 / 1/100sec / ISO-400 / exp -0.3 / 200mm
Taken at Eastern Beach, Geelong. / I thought that the buoys themselves would make a nice picture, the boy in the red jacket climbing up was a bonus, then came the helicopter. / A few minutes after taking this shot I ran in to Geelong photographer, and fellow Redbubbler, Peter Marin. / I’ve admired Peter’s work over the internet for years, a pleasure to meet you at last Peter.
