16”x24” Mixed Media (Airbrush and Ink) She looked through to her past, remembering, contemplating, holding it close to her. One day…she looked deeper…deeper still and she knew it was time to let it go. She released her past…and watched as it flew far away from her…to it’s own future…to it’s own place wild, open and free. Having let it go…she is now free, having looked through the past and on to the future. – By Carrie Glenn / Inspiration and background courtesy of Lord Michael Gatch Featured in Out of the Past / (Thanks Jerame and Michael) Featured in Surrealism / (Thanks Hop Helen and Marison ) Featured in All Things Poetic, Prose, Philosophical / (Thanks Susan) Featured in Northwest Artists / (Thanks EllieWinds) Featured in The Healing Journey / (Thanks Julie) You can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios /

My pics this evening are just a bit of a cheek- took my camera along to Vicki Lees and came back with a few shots- after almost falling in her pond trying to get a good fish shot- then stuck the camera inside the rabbits cage into her bewildered little face- but all painless, and no harm done -just hope you approve of the outcome lol !! / Taken with a Fuji A600 Finepix Digital Camera!

/ It is the simple indulgences in life that set us apart…that make us human…just think of the hot cup of coffee or tea, and the warm, softly glazed cinnamon bun waiting on a pretty plate at tea time or any time for that matter….I have placed mine simply on a mat….cut into it…pass a generous slice of it to your partner…there is enough for both….savour the sweet cinnamony goodness as it yields to your knife…Aah ... Ah the fabled cherry—the poetic color of luscious lips, and just as sweet. It started out in West Asia (perhaps the Persia-Armenia region) and in two varietals from which all cultivated cherries are descended: Prunus avium (sweet) and Prunus cerasus (sour). Sweet cherries had spread to Ancient Greece and the Mediterranean by 300 BCE, for Theophrastus mentions them. And Pliny the Elder (1st century AD) mentions that some 8 varieties of cherries were being cultivated in Italy—and that the Romans were spreading them as far north as Britain. The British, in turn, carried it to the New World in the 17th century (Beyond the huge crops in Michigan, California, Oregon, and Washington, American wild cherries include the chokecherry, the pin cherry, and the wild black cherry. Sour cherries have spread even farther north, and are a speciality of Germany and Scandanavia. Today it is estimated that some 900 sweet varieties (ranging in color from yellow to black) and some 300 sour varieties are being grown. Most sweet cherries will produce fruit only after they’ve been cross-pollinated—honey bees usually do the leg work, carrying pollen from a sweet cherry of another variety soupsong.com See some samples of the collection below, and view the entire collection to date, at the Bubblesite HERE / Plum Blossom with Apples and Cream / / Sour Cream Bumbleberry Tart with an Apricot Glaze / / Ginger Shortcake with Nectarines and Creme Fraiche / / Spicy Chewy Ginger Cookies / / Chocolate Cupcake with a Mocha Swirl / / Cinnamon Bun / / Scone with Berries and Cream / / Lemon curd and Blueberry Tart
