From within, everything shines with its own little light. You just have to stop, pay attention, and look closely sometimes.

Gather what you will from this.. but yes, I did intend for this to look like magical sperm. Haha, it just sort of happened when I was staring at a light bulb and noticed the little spring inside… so I knew I had to do something with that. :D

I love the dreamy effect, that the wind created on these tulips. Photographed in Keukenhof, Netherlands.

I like to keep flowers as long as possible – just in case …. / This one was worth the wait I think – faded and drooping over the side of a white vase. / / / Click to view by category / / Fractal Images / Images from Nature HDR Images Flower Portraits Night/Low Light Images Architectural Images Landscape Images Infrared Images / / / Random Images / /

Can anything look more beautiful than flowers kissed by the rain?

Taking a good close look at the inner world of flowers and such never disappoints me. There’s always beauty I would have sadly missed had I not done so.

Traveling over the mountain last Spring with a girlfriend, what a change in scenery this was from pine-covered forests. In a little town called Mossyrock, there was this endless sea of color – tulips everywhere… / Of course, there was a roadside shop that we investigated and spent a little cash…but the photo-op was a have-to!!! / They were gone 2 weeks later, upon our return trip as Mother’s Day had passed. Would have loved to tiptoe through these…;) / /

I find this simple image reminds me of shoots or bulbs of a plant dividing off from the parent organism. It is another fractal, derived from an algorithm I found when I made a programming error :) One of the reasons I write my own software instead of one of the very powerful and nicely designed fractal programs out there, it’s easier to make mistakes and sometimes I like the mistakes better than the intended result.
