Yellow Tulips at the Botanical Gardens Annual Tulip Festival
The colours of this flower was just a wonderful explosion of colour, I couldn’t pass it up. I hope you enjoy the beauty in nature like I do.

There’s something that seems both sweet and elegant about a frothy, little collection of white & pastel yellow flowers. The shapely Tulip ‘Diana’ is joined by a host of delicate daffodils (‘Thalia’, ‘Erlicheer’, ‘Grand Primo’), the dangling bells of Snowflake ‘Gravetye Giant’ (w/ green dots on petal tips), bits of creamy Hyacinth ‘City of Haarlem’, and touches of white wood hyacinth. All have come straight from the garden to meet in this tribute to April; you can just imagine the scent of hyacinth and daffodil wafting all about this bouquet. Fiesta Flora is not a bouquet for the faint of heart. Bursting with red, orange, lavender, and purples, these classic, heat-loving zinnias and China asters celebrate their summer season of bloom. These annuals, grown from seed, are joined by that little red, white-trimmed firecracker, the Gladiolus ‘Atom’. It’s an easy-to-grow heirloom bulb from 1946. When it waves its red flag, the hummingbirds come flying. Note: All photographs/texts bear the Copyright w/ All Rights Reserved of the artist, Suzanne Lewis.
