The image has been created as an alternative to the popular and greatly exaggerated theory of global warming and its consequences. Since global warming activists predict a dramatic change of the planet’s surface in the nearest future, the Ice Age Premonition portrays our society in the new Ice Age. / Ice Age – A cold period marked by episodes of extensive glaciations alternating with episodes of relative warmth. Any geologic period during which thick ice sheets cover vast areas of land. Such periods of large-scale glaciations may last several million years and drastically reshape surface features of entire continents. A number of major ice ages have occurred throughout the Earth’s history; the most recent periods were during the Pleistocene Epoch. There have been at least four major ice ages in the Earth’s past. The last glacial period ended about ten thousand years ago. / Surrealism art prints / Digital art prints / Fantasy digital art wallpapers

A snowy morning in Bryant Park in Manhattan.

I came across this building on my run about in the snow storm. I thought of doing it in B&W or even Sepia.. But alas I liked the colors that showed.. These small sheds and barns were built to last. Some made of ash tree’s. It looks as if its being kept in repair and still an older look.. With the falling snow and overcast sky it made my choice.. hope you agree..

this is a random shot of Circular Quay in the early dark of a winter’s afternoon. I understand why they shot one of the Batman movies here. It’s such a peachy pearly pretty place by day but at times the darkness of the city leaches out and demands its own time and space.

This silo was long ago part of a farmstead who’s life passed. And with it the memories of the harvest. Or the hands that built it. It still stands firm and true. No one is using it anymore nor is anyone tilling the lands.. All is growing over with time.. But it looked so grand in the snow fall.. A lost memory to share perhaps in your heart and mind.. This photo inspired owlspook to send this to me. I think it made me go into my dream land to try to imagine how this world can talk to us through others. / I hope you take time to read her words. / By owlspook the cry is heard all around / town folk feeling smug / as a bug in a rug / no more hard work / no more getting up at 4am / to milk the cows / no more / no more / yet / behind the shade / in the window of the house / third from the willow tree / a little girl / with dreams in her eyes / sees the fields / and the orchards / and silently she sings / although no one is left / to hear her voice owlspook http://www.redbubble.com/people/owlspook /

I dusted off an old picture that I took a couple of years ago. It was a fantastic winter day with bright sun and clear sky with a puffy cloud here and there. The winter sun was low on the horizon even at mid-day and threw long shadows. I’m ready for a cup of hot chocolate! Now also a Season’s Greeting card for Christmas.
