  • I was having lunch with my beautiful wife the other day at a rather unusual place, right across the road from my office. Never been there before… it was at the Northern Metropolitan Institute of Tafe and they have the special room on the third floor where trainee chefs get to practice their cooking skills and serve to the unsuspecting public. This was the view virtually from the table I was sitting at… the view was way better than the food!

shipping and transport college / location: rotterdam, the netherlands architect: neutelings riedijk, the netherlands i took this picture with a wideangle lens, standing really close to the bluiding. the building itself is very spectacular, and to emphasize it even more, this view works very well a friendlier perspective /

  • This image was taken on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the Amex Building in New York. People were drawn to the view of the rebuilding of Ground Zero and were speaking so softly or not at all out of respect for the devestation that took place here. Concurrent to the silent viewing is the incredible acitivity of rebuilding taking place in the area itself. Originally the glass wall seen here was opaque (marble, i think) but when the repairs were made to the building the marble was removed so that people could view ground zero. I think it helped people feel as though they could connect a little with what had taken place.
