Louisville, Kentucky USA 21 April 2008 10:06 PM EST This shot was NOT easy due to another photographer trying to take this same night shot using a flash. From this vantage point, the city is one mile away. He ruined 5 of my long exposures with his flash. Finally, I politely ask him to please let me get one good shot. / MCN: C30-NP3U-4430

St. Francis of Assisi in Santa Fe Sitting in the center of the town square in Santa Fe, New Mexico stands the St. Francis of Assisi Church. Built between the years of 1869-1886, it sits on an earlier site of a church built in 1626. This was a REALLY hard shotto pull off as the town center square is filled with people so I had to act quickly. I fired off 3 brackets handheld for the HDR and metered at the bricks on teh church…hoping this was going to work….I think it did. The American Southwest is a hotbed when it comes to architecture, architecture which is generally found no where else and is heavily influenced by the desert and Native AMericans. Colorado is of no exception to this rule, and in this shot, I really wanted something something. Spose ya could say this is quite experimental for me, so I would love to hear what ya all think! Took a drive out to Las Vegas yesterday. This is one of the many shots I got of this world famous city. This is the Mandalay Bay Hotel. At the very south end of the Las Vegas Strip sits the beautiful and shining Mandalay Bay. The theme of Mandalay Bay Hotel Las Vegas is tropical elegance mixed with hip, chic, eclectic vibes. Around every corner, excitement and new discoveries await. Mandalay Bay Hotel offers restaurants that will surely stir your taste buds. There is Aureole, complete and equipped with a wine tower and angel who goes up with cables to retrieve your wine, Trattoria del Lupo, the southwest flavors of Border Grill, House of Blues, and Fleur de Lys. Although not keying on big name chefs, Mandalay’s restaurants surely boast big flavors and quality dining. For the adventurous, there is the Shark Reef aquarium attraction where you can get up close and personal with octopus, fish, and sharks. In total, the Shark Reef features over 100 species of animals.
