Bodie Ghost Town in the Seirra Nevada Mountains in Eastern California. This 1800’s Gold town once had a thriving population of 10,000 people. It was a true wild western town with gun fights, saloons and a huge redlight district.

Wandering through the back streets of the old town was heavenly, at every turn there were wonders to behold, the long things hanging outside the shop are actually candles.

The backstreets of Grimethorpe,an old Yorkshire mining town, home of the famous brass band. I was contemplating taking this shot as i wandered back from my lunch, then the old lady walked in front of me and down the street, that made it for me.

Old stables of the abandoned mining town of the Cerro del Hierro (“Iron Hill”) in Seville (Andalusia, Spain). They have lost all their roof but the place is a good one to practise photography :) It’s located in the Natural Park of the northern highlands of Seville, between the municipalities of San Nicolás del Puerto and Constantine. With an altitude of 800 meters above sea level, is one of the upper area of the southern edge of the plateau bordering the basin of the Guadalquivir river. This is a beautiful little community snuggled high up in the mountains near Maricopa, California. During a visit today I took this shot and then processed it in CS3 with textures, filters and effects. This is the little town where I found the man I used in the “Character Portrait” image uploaded earlier. In fact, my wife and I went there for a memorial service for my cousin and that entire community turned out. The gentleman in the character image was a friend of my cousins for many years, whom I had never met before. Wonderful people whom I thank for their hospitality.
