Taken in Paris
The Paris Blues was captured whilst on a weekend away for my best mates 21st birthday. I love Paris, it’s an amazing city! I first added a black and white effect, then warmed the image, then cooled it with another function. There is slight adjustment of highlights, contrast, sharpness and light fill.

OK , so its not really London smog – just a heavy fog one morning in Feb of this year. / Tower Bridge on the Thames , London , UK.
Sunrise over Fes, Morocco. Adhan (Athaan) is the Islamic call to prayer, recited by the muezzin. The root of the word is ʼḏn “to permit”, and another derivative of this word is uḏun, meaning “ear.” This is the minaret of Kairouyine mosque in Fes. The university which is attached, was founded in 859AD and ‘is considered the oldest continuously operating institution of higher learning in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records.’ (Care of Wikipedia) / Adhan I

TOWER BRIDGE SHADOWS LONDON /
I thought it was about time that I added an image into the group ‘Historic Prisons, Jails, Asylums & Courthouses”. / So I dragged this one out of my archives and scanned it…... / This is the main entrance to Pentridge Prison in Melbourne. / When it was build, in what is now the suburb of Coburg, it was mainly just bush. But these days it is a thriving dense community. / So the Gov’t has done the same with this as they do with everything else…. Sold it off, and developed it into a Housing Estate. / This entrance, some of the surrounding high bluestone walls, and a couple of internal structures are all that remain, as it is now classified by the National Trust. / . / Entrances into the estate are located in the North wall in Gaffney St & South wall in Urquhart St. / . / Click here if you want to read about the Prison. =======================
Canary Wharf is a part of London that I’ve been meaning to visit for ages, but have always refrained due to various stories of photographers being hassled / frisked / manhandled by overzealous security personnel. It’s an area of London that I’ve visited a few times (mainly when I started web contracting back in 2007), and have always been fascinated by the “shininess” of the district – huge structures comprising of glass and steel, towering over the populace below. Today I took the plunge, hopped on a train with my camera and trusty Sigma 10-20mm, and started brazenly snapping away. Well, if you’re going to do something, you might as well do it properly is what I always say! This is by Canary Wharf station, and on the left is One Canada Place, sometimes known as Canary Wharf tower. Canon 400D, f11, 1/200, 14mm, ISO100 See more of my work at Dan Biggins Photography.
