I felt like uploading a picture of my hometown… I live in Sydney and do miss it a lot sometimes. I try to go back every 6 months (going there tomorrow actually yay!). Changed the name of it after Jason Moses’ comment :)
The Paris Blues was captured whilst on a weekend away for my best mates 21st birthday. I love Paris, it’s an amazing city! I first added a black and white effect, then warmed the image, then cooled it with another function. There is slight adjustment of highlights, contrast, sharpness and light fill.
The Petronas Twin Towers. / / HDR mode. No matter what angle, what lens, what camera body you use to capture this magnificent building, you will never capture its sheer size and beauty. I was back up at the Bunkyou Civic Centre yesterday, this time with one of my students. The sunset was extraordinary. It was impossible to control the lens-flare as I was shooting straight into the sun for this shot. Five-shot bracketed HDR with very little done to the colour. This is pretty much, apart from a bit of a shift in the tonal contrast, what the scene looked like through the lens. Nikon D300 / Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 ED / 5-frame bracketed burst merged in Photomatix 2.5.4

This is my first attempt at creating the tilt shift effect in Photoshop. Best viewed large This is the Trocadero, Paris, capital city of France. I took this from the top of the Eiffel Tower. The Trocadero is one of the few vantage points where the Eiffel Tower can be seen in full view. I don’t have many ariel view shots in my collection of photos, but this one thankfully served as a good image for this particular effect. For details on how I created this, please see here. Anyone who has photoshop or a photo editing program can do this. Adjustment of hue saturation and brightness, increase and adjustment of curves to increase contrast and colour further. Slight crop of original shot, as seen below. Couldn’t resist adding this after pmistric brought it to my attention. Its the sing-a-long version!!: MCN:C7XFY-U98AX-BYVB6
