Whilst competing in a Rogaine in SW Western Australia my mate and I stumbled upon a deserted farmhouse and out buildings. Because we were camping overnight in roughly the same area I managed to get back the next morning to get a few shots. I only hope I can find my way back there as there are lots of shots to be made.

A digital photo-montage consisting of one scene placed into another photograph. The photo of the path / bridge was taken at Lakelands in Warners Bay. The shed that I transplanted the path into is located at Warners Bay.

For those not from Melbourne, this building is actually the Melbourne Exhibition Centre but we locals like to call it Jeff’s shed because when it was built it was seen as something of a folly of our rather arrogant and autocratic then incumbent state premier.

I came across this building on my run about in the snow storm. I thought of doing it in B&W or even Sepia.. But alas I liked the colors that showed.. These small sheds and barns were built to last. Some made of ash tree’s. It looks as if its being kept in repair and still an older look.. With the falling snow and overcast sky it made my choice.. hope you agree..

This year marks the 250th anniversary of the Sambro Island Lighthouse. Families, including cousins of mine used to live on the island all year round. There were two homes which are still standing, but barely. I believe the building you are seeing in this shot is where the families kept their supplies and storage. The island is said to be haunted by a man. I was quite disappointed to not have felt or seen something eerie while I was there. There is also a spot which looks to be carved out of the rocks on the island called the “Devil’s Footprints” The story goes that the devil walks up out of the water and walks up the rocks to the island. What the devil would want with a lighthouse I have no idea, but that is what I was told. The rock pattern is very odd though and quite something to see. The lighthouse is now run by solar panels and no human hands are needed. Even the fog horn is run by a machine that detects fog. Even though I did not see or feel a ghost, the island has a very lonely feel to it, an abandoned and sad spot. I couldn’t imagine being there alone….no, I just could not!

Very beautiful fog this morning. This is just a shot of an old tractor shed in our yard. Was too pretty to walk past before leaving for work. / /

My mother took this shot, this is her backyard, well a small part of it anyway, she asked me to fix it up for her, and this is one of the many versions of it, I really liked how it turned out. I hope you do too! Thanks so much for you comments and for viewing! Please look at in larger view! =) / / /

I dusted off an old picture that I took a couple of years ago. It was a fantastic winter day with bright sun and clear sky with a puffy cloud here and there. The winter sun was low on the horizon even at mid-day and threw long shadows. I’m ready for a cup of hot chocolate! Now also a Season’s Greeting card for Christmas.
