  • One of the better back lanes in my area Digital Camera

  • . . .And slowly, everything dissolves back into the landscape. . . Digital Camera

  • Couldn’t resist taking a photograph of this bright and cheerful window scene which leads you into a wonderful old Flea Market.

  • It was quite unintentional but I just happened to be passing a car with a curved rear window which reflected this unusual image of a Regency Terrace across the road. The owner, who was approaching his ‘Pride & joy’, was somewhat surprised when he caught me peering into the window but was pleased when I showed him the shot on my viewfinder and was not about to break into his car. Image taken with a Fujifilm finepix S9600.

  • This Bandstand, which has recently undergone renovation, is located on the seafront (close to the West Pier) in Brighton, England. It was designed by Philip Lockwood and was completed in 1884. Unfortunately, it went into decline in the 1970’s but has now been / carefully restored to it’s former glory and is designated as a Grade 11 listed building. Full completion of this and the surrounding gardens will be this / summer.

  • Trendy and fashionable clothing shop located in central Brighton, UK. The image of Clint Eastwood (as Dirty Harry) above the shop does not only create a lot of interest but, I’m sure, also helps to increase sales. Now that’s what I call ingenious!

  • This is an upper view of an old Pub located in The Lanes area of Brighton, UK. As for the door near the roof you’ve no doubt guessed that it’s no longer in use but was once the access for storage in the olden days when there would have been a winch above to hoist supplies.

  • One of the bow-fronted windows of this historic Victorian Pub which is the oldest in ‘The Lanes’ of Brighton, UK. The Pub is full of old world charm & character and has an adjacent courtyard where the brewers once delivered barrels of ale by horse & cart.

  • This is ‘Embassy Court’ ; an Art Deco apartment block on the seafront in Brighton (well! Hove, actually) UK. It sadly went into decline some years ago but has recently undergone a major refurbishment, bringing it back to it’s original grandeur.

  • ARTPH 029 – Farm Series / Based on photo taken by Shelley Stockton Wynn / 2008. The “Farm” is located in south central Michigan and belongs to my husband’s grandmother. In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing places to visit. The Grand River runs right through the farm and it’s beauty lends to the special feeling one gets when spending time there. It’s our little piece of “Heaven on Earth”. This is a basement window in the old grainery barn. The barn was built in 1837 and is still in very good condition for it’s age.

  • View from Calton Hill, looking north west, towards the Firth of Forth, during a light snow shower. Edinburgh, Scotland. 2 February 2009.

  • This is a montage I created from a series of photographs I took on the same day in London. The lemon was taken in my kitchen, the tree was taken from the window of my flat and the building was taken near the Barbican Tube Station.

  • Reflection of the City, London, UK. Medium: Black and White Film Kodak Trix 400 Pro

  • The Millennium Wheel, London, UK. / Medium: Black and White Film Kodak Trix 400 Pro

  • Saint Paul’s Cathedral, London, UK. / Medium: Black and White Film Kodak Trix 400 Pro

  • London Cab in Trafalgar Square, London, UK. / Medium: Black and White Film Kodak Trix 400 Pro

  • I lived in the UK for over twelve years and spent most of that time in London. I dwelled there during the change of millennium witnessing the great celebration that took place in the form of a revolutionary, state of the art architecture. I have seen the transformation of an old power station into the awesome Tate Modern, the erection of the Millennium Wheel, the building of the Millennium Bridge and the controversial Millennium Dome, the Hungerford Railway & Pedestrian Bridge, the London Gherkin – the new Sir Norman Foster Swiss Bank Building-, other buildings and monuments. It’s in London that I took up photography following a course based in the States and it’s London that inspired me to become an artist photographer. The magic atmosphere of its huge parks, the imposing buildings, either historical or modern, the contrast between building styles, sometimes placed next to each other, the eccentric markets, i.e. Camden Lock and Stables, Portobello, Brick Lane etc., the street performers in Covent Garden, the classic black cabs and red double decker busses (almost extinct now), the theaters and the many other things – impossible to mention all – , provided me with enough inspirational material to make me feel I could spend all my life producing work based on this city alone! / More images may be viewed on my site: www.aldocervato.com . Medium: Black and White film mostly Kodak Tri-x, 35mm and 120 medium format.

  • Taken from Southbank Melbourne, looking down towards Princes bridge, Flinders street station and some office buildings. / That’s where the Pen Pushers hang out. This shot was taken on a very warm Spring November night about 3 weeks ago. It was a hot day, we had nothing much to do that night, the brother wasn’t working the next day so we headed off into the city. / My first night shoot in well over 12 months and I enjoyed every minute of it. • Melbourne is known as the garden state here in Australia. / This shot was taken from the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower, looking down at some of Melbourne’s most popular gardens. / In this shot we have The Royal Botanical gardens, Kings Domain and the Sydney Myer music bowl, Government House, Alexandra gardens. Melb is full of gardens all around the city and surounding suburbs. Uploaded---7/12/09 Camera—-Fuji Finepix s6500fd

  • This shot was taken from the Princes street bridge in Melbourne’s CBD. / To the left of the shot we have the old Batman Ave, now known as Birrarung Marr. Instead of driving down it like we did 15 years ago it was closed off to traffic, by who else? the govenment, and it was turned into a park. A giant ferris wheel and a monster bloody statue sits at the end. / On the right of the shot is Alexandra gardens and the boat sheds, this has only had a few things done to it over the years, not a great lot. / Every March we have what is called the Moomba festival and a Carnival is set up down both sides of the yarra and that’s turned into a bloody joke. / It’s not as good as it use to be. Photo taken from Princes Bridge Melbourne. Uploaded—-26/12/09 Camera——Fuji Finepix s6500fd.

  • This was a manual photograph I took in high school. I resurrected it when I found some old disks I thought I’d lost for good. We painted the photo paper with developer and it produced this awesome grunge effect. The enlargers were disgusting though, hence the dust. / Camera: Canon Rebel K2 EOS / Film: Ilford 400 / Paper: Ilford 400

  • Taken from Birrarung Marr looking down at Melbourne’s tallest building The Eureka Tower with a touch of the Sky wheel thrown in to boot. Uploaded——1/1/2010 Camera—-Fuji Finepix s6500fd
