A shot while waiting for the tram in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Reflections and patterns of this modern glass building create an interesting / composition with nice contrast and color.
This is probably the most photographed lighthouse in Nova Scotia. For this reason, I don’t usually like taking shots of it because most likely anyone that has visited NS has been there and done that…. However, we went on a Sunday drive and decided to go to Peggy’s Cove where this famous lighthouse lives. She is a beauty though right?
A photograph I took this week of a local farm, I have manipulated it slightly in PS. The name came to mind as the trailer in the potograph reminded me of ‘The Haywain’ by Constable. Of course when I googled it to see it looks nothing like but the name stays!.
“Home on the Range” Photography & Artwork / by Holly Kempe © A house on top of a bare hill looking out into the twilight. “How often at night / When the heavens were bright / By the light of the twinkling stars, / Have I stood here amazed / And asked as I gazed / If their glory exceeds that of ours. / The air is so clear, / The breeze so pure, / The zephyr so balmy and light; / I would not exchange / My home here on range / Forever in azure so bright.”

~ Built in 1860 at Port Adelaide, by Charles Hawkes Todd Connor, founder of the Adelaide Milling and Mercantile Company. which later became the Adelaide Milling Company Ltd, at Port Adelaide;. This siding was still in use till the early 1980’s, the building is at the corner of the Princess & North Parade wharves (Mundy Street). It is Heritage listed, and stands derelict, dominating the local skyline and the few smaller buildings that surround it. It is often mistakenly referred to as Hart’s Mill which is the building adjoining this one (on east-side) built around the same time. ~ Photo taken late after, dusk, setting western sun on wall
