This was taken at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. This is probably the most different photo I have submitted in a long time. I spend most of my photographing time in the mountains 300 miles from my home. I live less than an hour from L.A. but I rarely venture there. There was an art festival going on and it sounded fun so I went.

I was taken (almost against my will) to Victorian University of Technology in Footscray, where one of my friend’s needed to make an appearance at their Open Day, of which she was involved in the planning. I spotted this set of stairs and railings on the way back to the car. Suddenly the trip there was all worthwhile :) It was an overcast day and lighting was poor, but with the help of level tweaking, a blue filter and a dash of contrast, this grey concrete was looking a lot more fire ravaged.
