  • The quite spectacular lobby of an otherwise unremarkable building in Bourke Street, Melbourne.

  • FUSIONartPHOTOGRAPHY.com Feature artist for the GROUP:EXPERIMENTAL PHOTOGRAPHY and EDITING. This creation is about my return to Melbourne after eight exciting and event filled years living in Japan and China . Regular trips home to see family and friends had not really prepared me for that emotional roller coaster ride that many experience after the conclusion of an overseas assignment. / Initially, when living in countries where the language is foreign ,one delves deep inside oneself and adjusts by becoming more observant to compensate. The experience is beyond description. / Upon returning home ones’ city has become a mystery. Eye contact/ a smile meant so very much in the re-adjustment period as after such a long period away ,one really belongs nowhere and maybe the heart will always now remain in 3 places and so we have “Mysterious Melbourne” / “ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” / Essence of Ancient Wisdom/ Asia

  • Pulled out of the archives from a while ago… A 3 exposure HDR in Photomatix software. This photo was taken with my old Canon 300D, I had a fair bit of trouble deciding what white balance to go with but I think it worked out ok. This image was taken on the same night as the following images: Click here for my other images of Melbourne

  • A spacey building in Melbourne ..I was taken by the sheen and it’s simplicity.

  • Equitable Place, Melbourne CBD, Victoria FEATURED: Redbubble’s Featured Art & Photography page Shot with Canon 50D & 17-85mm lens

  • Another image from this weeks late night stroll in back alleys off of Hosier Lane, in Melbourne’s CBD. The varying lighting and shadows helped to create mood which varied dependent upon the angle and direction of the shots. Quite eerie and daunting shooting this series alone, next time I must get someone to come along!!!!! This is a three shot HDR converted in Photomatix, shot with a Canon 400D – 17-85 lens. Want to see some other great shots of this place then visit Alistair Wilson’s link in the comments section…............. /
