An art deco masterpiece to this day.
Rockefeller Center of Manhattan
World Trade Center a few months before 9/11, New York, USA
This isn’t a shot of a building that I flipped in Photoshop. It’s designed to look this way if you stand in the corner and shoot almost straight up. I did take a bit of tweaking as it’s not designed to be perfectly symmetrical. One wing of the building is shorter than the other. It’s a really well designed building with a wonderful abstract quality. Love the skyscrapers of MIdtown Manhattan.

Imagine all the people living life in peace. Imagine a world without terrorism. I created this as: A tribute to my hero, John Lennon. A tribute to all those lives lost and affected by 9/11. And a tribute to the most exciting city in the world, New York! .

Walking through Manhattan I came across several of these red and white pipes in the middle of the streets pumping out smoke….. not sure what they are! Taken with a 400D, 10-22mm lens @12mm, iso 100, f4.5, 1/250sec
While taking my nephew around midtown Manhattan, we walked past this building. I have walked by this building several times before but never actually looked up. (Perhaps because I was in a hurry!) This time however I did and thankfully had my camera with me. (I thanked my nephew for being so patient with me.) I didn’t even notice the lights until later that night since I was trying to capture the whole building and not fall backwards. A building in Midtown, Manhattan that I pass every day during lunchtime and always thought to myself one day I will photograph it. I finally did! Camera: Pentax K200D / Exposure Program: Manual / Exposure Time: 1/320 sec / F-Stop: f/5.60 / ISO Speed: 100 / No flash

I was photographing a window display at a ‘little’ store in Manhattan called Bloomingdale’s (a.k.a. “Bloomie’s” to New Yorkers). Around the holidays their displays causes tourists (and even New Yorkers) to stand in long lines to view them. I had finished photographing a display when I walked further along and saw this reflection of the building across the street on the Bloomie’s building. I gave this image this title because the reflection seemed almost dreamlike to me. Taken in Midtown, Manhattan. Camera: Pentax K200D / Exposure Program: Manual / Exposures Time: 1/40 sec / ISO Speed: 100 / F-Stop: f/5.00 / No Flash
