  • Gothic Elements
    by Michael J Armijo

    US$4.56–US$121.60

I took this photo during the day in Park Slope (Brooklyn, NY). I did some photoshop playing around and created more of a haunted ‘at night’ sort of look. I love how it turned out—perfect for the forthcoming Halloween. :)

  • Pumping Station
    by Richard Shepherd

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This place, unusually for me, isn’t derelict but it was so nice a building i couldnt help but take a few shots of it. This is the water pumping station at Ryhope in the North East of England. This pumping station opened in 1868 and operated for 99 years providing drinking water to the Sunderland area before closing in 1967.

  • Pumped uphill
    by Richard Shepherd

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Another view of the Ryhope Pumping Station, a Grade II (starred) listed building in the North East of England. This lovely gothic style building hosts two 100 horsepower beam engines for pumping the water, which are even still occasionally fired up by the kind team of volunteers that now operate this site and make it available for the public to visit.

  • Mirror Image
    by Richard Shepherd

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This is another shot of the Ryhope Pumping Station, a 140 year old water pumping station in the North East of England. It is reflected perfectly in the water still stored in it’s reservoir at the front of the building. This structure is now Grade II (starred) listed and considered to be one the finest industrial monuments the region has to offer. This site is very reminiscent of the other pumping station in the area at Dalton however this one has been renovated and is still in action today, albeit as a steam engine museum.

  • in the dark of the city
    by Juilee Pryor

    US$4.28–US$114.00

this is a random shot of Circular Quay in the early dark of a winter’s afternoon. I understand why they shot one of the Batman movies here. It’s such a peachy pearly pretty place by day but at times the darkness of the city leaches out and demands its own time and space.

  • evening prague

St Stephen’s Square – An evening in ‘Kafka’s Prague’ – wonderful place!

  • In Memoriam
by John De Bord Photography IPA

    US$4.28–US$114.00

Shot Thoughts & Background Info—- Fairmont Cemetery in Denver is one of my all time favorite places to shoot at, especially during the Autumn months. It is quite old with headstones dating to when Denver was barely even a city. Quite massive in size, many of the structures contained within it are fascinating examples of architectural style. For this shot, I really wanted something different, so when I was shooting it I made sure to use my Minolta 18-200 DT lens so I could go ultra wide and capture as much as I could I had an idea already in my head for the post work, and for the most part I think it works as I had planned. I really wanted something moody, heavy on the atmosphere, that provoked thought in people when they saw it. Something that made them stop and think for a second. HDR Processed. Shot Details Minolta 5D / Minolta 18-200 DT Lens 18mm | f10 | iso 200 | 1/200 | / Singh-Ray CPL / Processed through Lightroom, Photomatix for HDR, and then finally Photoshop Thoughts welcomed! —-John jdebordphoto.com

  • Locker Box
    by Richard Shepherd

    US$3.42–US$91.20

I have no idea what this big chained box outside of the pumping station, but it does intrigue me. I am planning to head along to this place and get some shots inside once it opens again in the spring, so i shall be inquiring then as to what the purpose of this was. Nevertheless it makes for an interesting photo at least :)

  • Chained Open
    by Richard Shepherd

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This is an extreme close up of the locker box outside of the pumping station, as you can see the door was slightly ajar, and the chain loose enough to allow me to have a peep inside but still i couldn’t get any idea of what the use of the box was.

  • Cross Dawn
    by asmodelle

    US$3.42–US$91.20

At dawn, a cross can be seen, reaching over the tomb or sorrows. Yet it is a new day, and with the dawn comes, light and tranquility.

  • After almost 4 days of almost constant work, here we finally are! Programs used: Poser 7, Blender, Vue 6 Esprit, Photoshop Elements 5 and Painter X. See it in context in Nightly Tale Not for sale due to dubious copyright state.

  • Bootlaces
    by Richard Shepherd

    US$3.42–US$91.20

The holes down the side of the door and wall on this locker box remind me a lot of boot lace holes in big boots. You can see here just how loose the chain was so i was able to peek inside.
