The Titanic smashed into the iceberg. / Screams broke out along with utter pandemonium. / Nevertheless, the men with their instruments in their tidy little suits, sat upright, swallowed hard, and with swift acceptance began playing the most heartfelt rendition of “Nearer My God To Thee” they’d ever played or known before… / / and then all was silent. / / sold: 1 mounted print / (to RB member) / / / / /

Another emergency stop shot, driving through Doncaster today and spotted this new building, i was immediately drawn to the stairs in the windows and had to get a couple of shots, i love the reflections in the glass, it was raining on one half of the carpark and sunny on the other, very strange weather today!

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. / On a recent short trip to Melbourne, we walked along the river behind Federation Square. It blew me away – so lively, energetic, vibrant. Even this high-rise came to life for me, courtesy of the lowering sun.

This is a throw back to some earlier architectural photography I’ve done. I took this sometime in August, out in Richmond, off an amazingly bendy alley.

Another view from my office window, looking over the roofs of Edinburgh, Scotland. The tower is the tall cupola of Broughton St Mary’s Parish Church. The church stands on Bellevue Crescent in Edinburgh’s New Town, and was built in 1824 to a design by Thomas Brown. The church was originally known as Bellevue Church, then as St Mary’s Parish Church, taking its present name upon union with Broughton Macdonald Church. Just behind the Cupola, you can see a few of the glass structures of Edinburgh’s Royal Botanic Gardens. In the distance over the rooftops can be seen the hills of the Kingdom of Fife.
