Dear William; Well honey its been 9 days I have been down here in the submersible, I’m studying the dolphins this month. I wish you were here to see them all interacting, its just amazing. They dont seem to be bothered with my presence anymore. / Ive been studying these beautiful creatures daily and the team wants to test their certain abilities and game behavior. We placed large cubed objects on the floor of the ocean to which they could be tested for long extended periods of time. It didnt take long until they did accept the objects, or even the lights going on when they entered them. Our little friends appeared to love this one in front of me the most and are joyously entertaining themselves daily with little games like, who can could turn through the cube the quickest. The elders are less likely to join in but remain near by. Perhaps their knowledge of such non sea elements are considered a breach of territory or considered a possible threat. / Well I better get back to work….Talk soon! / . / . / . / Journal Entry: June 12th, 2012 / Day 9…. / Quadrant 8 / Subjects: Ling’s Pod / Time: 2:34pm / Grouping: Ling’s pod has remained since dropping the cubes. No other pods have appeared. / Territorial Issues: Ling appears watchful of outside interference, even small fish / Flashing Light Reactions: Adults still unsettled, young adults intriqued / Gaming: The young adults appear most engaged while others try but end quickly, still unsure why / Emotional Stress: None at this time / Time of Cubing Interactions: Mostly between 10am & 4:40pm, seems feeding schedules counter the play activity. ©2007 Lisa C. Taken in Tunga/Zuga Village .remote Nigeria. Rebecca is 13 years old and is orphaned. Her Grandmother was looking after her, but she now is dead also. Rebecca rarely speaks but loves to sing songs she learned from passing missionaries. She works in her grandmothers small garden. Her Grandmothers house is almost falling down. The villagers are very loving toward her, but Food is scare here. Please pray and help us to help children like Rebecca. Autumn In The City – Digital Montage. Where does the year go ? I still felt that it was Autumn, took the photo, wrote the poem and then realized that Autumn finished a month ago ! The Regional Post Office building at Newcastle East. Aren’t you glad this isn’t your home?? My husband and I drove by this abandoned house the other day. This is the first time I’ve been able to get inside one. Usually I’m toting the kids, and can only get a quick shot of the outside. Oh man, this place was TRASHED! But so fun to photograph! Unfortunantly, I didn’t have a tripod, nor was there really anything to use as one, so only a couple of my HDR shots didn’t turn out a complete blury. I was walking around the neighborhood last fall, looking for something to image when i came across this scene. The chair that was placed near some trash bins by a long abandoned government building. The Custom House Tower is a skyscraper in McKinley Square, in the Financial District neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts I been asked, how this was done. Digital Art Compilations of 2 shots: / Sky taken by my Nikon D60 and tower which was taken with Canon Powershot S3 IS in AB mode and processed first as HDR, then 2 images was blended in PS Elements 6.0 , I used multiple layers to blend the colors, until they looked right to me. “Customs House Clock Tower” Customs House Clock Tower was WINNER of the challenge Outdoor Timepieces in the group Mood & Ambience … November 12, 2009 featured in That’s Entertainment on July 27, 2009 Challenge Win in Any Type of Timepiece – All Artwork Allowed on July 26, 2009 “Customs House Clock Tower” was featured in Majestic Massachusetts on May 31, 2009 May 18 , 2009 – Second place with 5 votes( same as winner) / in Clocks!!! Clocks!... But , after recording this event , I accidentally made an image private. The first impressionists took advantage of the introduction of premixed paints in tubes where paint is laid on an area of the surface very thickly, usually thickly enough that the brush or painting-knife strokes are visible. / Characteristics of impressionist paintings include visible brush strokes, open composition, emphasis on light in its changing qualities effecting colour, the inclusion of movement as a crucial element of human perception, and unusual visual angles. / Short, thick strokes of paint are used to quickly capture the essence of the subject, rather than its details. The paint is often applied impasto. / Colours are applied side-by-side with as little mixing as possible, creating a vibrant surface. The optical mixing of colours occurs in the eye of the viewer. / My form of impressionism starts with digital photography and I then develop this into my own art form and exploit the aspects of the digital painting medium embracing and showing the painterly aspect, rather than trying to hide the act of creation. My work is hand painted digital painting and is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software. Digital painting differs from other forms of digital art, particularly computer-generated art, in that it does not involve the computer rendering from a model. The artist uses painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer. / I create the painting, directly on my PC, by using a Wacom tablet, a stylus pen and ArtRage painting software. The Wacom tablet can be compared to a canvas or watercolor paper surface. The stylus pen is my paintbrush.
