  • A window of an traditional country farm cottage in Ireland. Nice whitewashed wall on this shot..

  • Not quite asleep, not quite awake. Still dreaming about remembered places from our past This sold as a laminated print to a Redbubble artist

  • The old Temperance Hall at Ceres,a farming community, on the outskirts of Geelong. These days it is used as a live theatre venue by a local theatre group.

  • Took this a while ago, thought I’d revise it to new standards.

  • Sometimes when you travel to the country or a rural area you feel like you’ve gone back in time. Technology and mod-cons evaporate as you pass into the sparsly spaced places in-between. Stepping off the highway, here were dirt roads, decayed buildings, and the mistrustful glances from locals. I asked where we were. The only person who could speak english replied couldn’t really say but just “on the way to somewhere else”.

  • Old dilapidated barn with rustic red doors. This old barn will be torn down sometime this month. Someone in the neighborhood complained that it was an “eye sore”.... so sad! Image was redone for me in HDR by Kimberly Palmer.

  • again melrose, south australia A friend of mine challenged me on my Australiana revisionism (in a good way) , because of him I want to take the time to explain myself . . . . . . . . . .as a very infamous Australian ( Pauline) would demand. . . . . . . . . . . . in between dance moves of course (sorry for the very blatant and gratuitous Australianism!). . . . . . . If you have seen any of my recent Australiana-revision images, you will know that I’ve been in mad scientist/experimental mode and I want to test myself to see how far I can take this idea. So any constructive critique you have the time to give me is a blessing…........................ Otherwise you will have to put up with my mad experiments (insert mad scientist laugh here) on an ongoing basis, like the person smiling with spinach on their teeth!!!! Lol. Anyway. This image I tried to keep the background hills and distance (horizon) as simple as possible. Sky, I think should always be exciting so its got s**t loads going on. Foreground, mmm still not sure…........ But the building I wanted to be ALIVE!!! Its a ruin they pepper the countryside here but as a deceased building its still full of character and to me, character is life , I wanted this to burst out! It was an awesome place to visit and get lost in So there you are / my thoughts / my experiment I would be really pleased to hear yours. . . .

  • Composite of multiple images of a derelict site in Eastern Washington. I wanted to use the images in some way, but it wasn’t until a model from ModelMeyhem offered to let me use this pic in one of my ‘creations’ that it came together. The descrepancy between her dress and manner….and the background just seemed to work to suggest an amusing anecdote…..Plus I love her posture….Thanks to Laura W for her image…...

  • In the style of J. Edgar Mitchell (1871-1922). / A north-east painter. Watercolour, and highlights of white gouache. I painted this in my class at the Shipley Art Gallery, in Gateshead. 140lb, hand-made, Two Rivers, watercolour paper. 16” x 11”

  • Featured in Live, Love, Dream 5th Nov, 2008. / This is a beautiful thatched pub/restaurant, The Brace of Pheasants in Plush, Dorset. They have a wonderful menu and I was about to eat there, but, unfortunately, arrived at 15:05 and the kitchens closed at 15:00. Oh well, maybe next time. / The pub ‘sign’ is not a sign at all but an illuminated glass cabinet containing a brace of stuffed pheasants – a cock and a hen. I don’t know how long the glass box has been up there, but I know it wouldn’t be five minutes outside a London pub before some senseless yob would throw a brick at it.

  • This was shot in Arlington, WA. One of my favorite pics and the most featured, viewed and favorited of my works here on RedBubble. Thank you! / Using Photoshop, I adjusted the levels and saturation to bring out the colors. Three separate images were composited: old barn ruins, rainbow with tree and clouds. Clone stamped out a telephone wire as well. Trying something new, experimenting with my images in the Orton Style. Shot this with my Kodak Easy Share point & shoot camera. Brought it into Photoshop and added layers and different blending options as well as blur and sharpen. • Combination one room school house, church, community building, and town hall. These structures are scattered through out the Ozark Mountains, and the foothills of Arkansas. Sooooooo…... These types of scenes are very familiar to me, living here in the good ol’ natural state. My very first years of school began in a one room school house almost identical to this one, and it is now long gone.. When I look at this photograph, I can still see us all running, and playing in the school yard, and hear all of our laughter, and screaming. All the sounds of the children playing, as we went along in our merry, carefree younger days. I remember…........

  • canon 5dii 16-35 lens / about 100 30 sec exposures

  • This was taken in Port Hope Michigan, I loved the old feel to this place, but for some reason b/w just wasn’t giving it the feel I wanted, so I played around with it a bit and came up with this..I like it..hope you do too. Nikon D90 / 18-200mm VR Lens

  • Inside a rustic cottage full of beautiful things at a New Brunswick historical site. I’m unable to download the original large size image due to problems with uploading to RB. I was able to download this card-size version only. It seems there are a few Redbubblers that are experiencing the same problem. © 2009 Anne Hale. Featured in Windows and Doors group, Nov. 29/09.
